Twenty-Nine (29!) shirts have been donated to Goodwill, to begin new adventures on the torsos of people they have yet to meet. The new total shirt count dropped to 395 at 1:05pm, 4/25/13.
A hard, sad time for me, yes, but let's rejoice for their next partnerships!
A lot of the shirts I donated today were originally purchased from Goodwill, though not from the specific store where they are now waiting for new owners. Some were old and didn't have much hope of being worn again, and others were kind donations from friends and family to help me reach last year's goal (...and didn't have much hope of being worn again).
Some were itchy and uncomfortable, and will not be missed. Some were good threads with lots of love left to give, and they will be remembered fondly. But none of them were among my very favorites, and I am glad that someone else will now have the opportunity to cherish them (perhaps) more than I could have!
In happier news, I donated this horrible Lady Bug Pillow Pet, which was once a very...thoughful...and loving...gift, from Brett. Hooray!
