#colfinnor

Colfinnor is quite the moron and has a really bad habit of thinking he’s alone when he’s not. This isn’t a bad thing necessarily, but it is certainly embarrassing  for him. Some of the things he’s caught doing are fairly simple such as: 

Playing with his hair and getting distracted by how well kept it is.

Talking to himself.

Getting distracted by his biceps (yes like Gaston)

Walking into walls or dropping his glass while he’s drinking. (Rip to all the bottles this fool has dropped while walking into a wall)

Throwing shade when your back is turned.

He’s seriously the king of mean looks.

Drawing terrible and questionable drawings in his travel journal.

Colfinnor has a few other habits that could be used against him. Like,

Writing out long paragraphs about his crushes.

“Misplacing” work he doesn’t want to do.

Muttering his unbridled opinions about fellow elves.

Seriously

Saelon is naturally detached, he’s long since removed himself from  emotional bonds and constantly lets Colfinnor know that their relationship may end and forever is an illusion.

I plan on shipping Saelon and Colfinnor together

and having them be salty old men like the ones on Vicious

and nobody can stop me, also I intend to write them into fics and stuff without ever busting them out rp style, lest someone wants me to

Colfinnor’s age is similar to Saelon’s, he too originally dwelt in Eregion but he was a young elf with a mother unwilling to allow him to do odd jobs for the various people of Eregion. So he sat and he watched over his mother and father, never really leaving the house for too long save for getting groceries at the market or going to gather supplies with his father.

When Eregion caught wind of the war with Sauron, Colfinnor’s parents showed no sympathy for their fallen brethren and pushed off the casualties with a simple “that’s a shame...” Colfinnor was so disgusted by his parents’ behavior that he slipped out of Eregion with nothing more than a satchel filled with clothes and lembas. He had but one weapon, an old elven sword that his father had mounted on the wall, it likely hadn’t seen battle for an age.

Colfinnor made his way past Moria and set off in search of a new place to stay, never remaining in one community for too long. In fact, he spent an entire age in isolation, travelling and cutting down orcs and wargs never really having more of a purpose than his strong desire to help. 

Legandir is the youngest and most likely to botch his work or stop to stare at a tree, Saelon and Colfinnor are not aware of his reasonings but cover for him none the less. Legandir is the least matured and most likely to say or do something ignorant and because of this Colfinnor is very quick to pounce on him about things. 

Saelon is more laid back with Legandir as he sees himself in the little oaf, and just chastises the younger elf when it’s absolutely needed. Saelon is by far the oldest and is not afraid to call Colfinnor out about things he’s wrong about but by no means is Saelon unkind.

And here we have Colfinnor, meaning “gold hair” in sindarin. (I called dibs on him and his pretty hair)

He’s very rigid outwardly and not bothered if strangers think of him as bitter. He’s too immersed in his job as a scout to stress himself out over simple and trivial matters, as he’s got a job to do and he’s not about to anger Thranduil.

He’s very old but not exactly wise, he hardened over the years and distanced himself from people he is not certain will survive or remain in Mirkwood.

There’s literally nothing he hates more than spiders, he despises spiders so much that seeing their webs makes him nauseous. It’s amusing to his fellow elves as he nearly faints every time he sees a cobweb.

He’s still unsure about his sexuality and has no clue what he identifies as, but is more comfortable with the title of pansexual aromantic.

One night stands are kinda his thing.

Personality wise, Colfinnor is quiet and assessing, he’s more interested in the “what really happened” rather than the “he said she said”. He only speaks when he feels it is absolutely necessary and otherwise keeps to himself, he’s the type that finds himself to be the only logical company.
