So, last night I went into IG and the first thing that comes up is this
I didn’t pay attention to it because I didn’t understand, so... whatever. I let it be.
Then, I walk into my dashboard and all I can read is about that same comment.
Now, as far as I can understand, this is CS mocking mocking brazilian fans, apparently, but it can apply to every person that can’t speak english properly, so they use broken english.
I must say it, I’m not offended by it, but I do think it is wrong.
Why?
Because, one way or another, mocking someone is and will always be something nobody should do. You can joke about things but how thin is the line between jokes and mockery? In this case, it’s about a country and its people, fans that admire you. That’s not ok.
I’m not sure if its ok that so many people is ok with CS’s comment and I’ll explain why:
If it were someone else, I’m sure everyone would be criticizing it, saying how bad and disrespectful it is. That they should apologize, maybe. And then roast them for this everyday until you forget it happened.
But this is CS, so you’re all only laughing and saying “oh, you’re HILARIOUS, HAHAHA, we love you”, and that’s what is not ok.
Let’s face it:
He is an human being.
Yes, he makes mistakes. No, doing this doesn’t make him the worst person on planet earth. But we gotta accept that he isn’t perfect and asume that, maybe, not everything that he does is alright.
You can have whatever opinion you like on this. Maybe it offended you, maybe it didn’t. I don’t care, but let me ask you this:
If it was KJ instead of CS, would you be laughing?
Because this isn’t fat shaming, of course, and I know that was wrong. I’m not justifying anything, but it is a double standard to act like this is nothing and then get all obsessed with KJ’s faults, to the point of mention them when they have nothing to do with the main subject:
You can look for this comment if you want. It’s in the same post. What does it have to do with a picture of some flowers? Or what does it have to do with RH? You get what I’m talking about now?
What would you say if I defended KJ for what he did and then treat CS like sh*t because of this?
You don’t know middle ground. Love or hate. Defend or acuse. Remember or forget. Remark some things and ignore some others that you don’t like.
That is not OK, people. I don’t hate CS. I love him as much as you do, but we gotta be honest. Please, think about it.
And before you say a thing, I have all the rights to talk about this because I’m not american or a native english speaker. If you don’t like it, I’m sorry for you.
