Emmerich opened the door and walked in, closing it behind him after the permission to enter was given. Taking a moment to study the manâs new redecorated room he slowly paced to where he was sited and looked down at him.
â âEy Docâ â he started ina low enough voice not to disturb the man who was no doubt sitting in silence for a while. âHavenât seen you much around other than the field lately and I hope you donâ mind if I decided to come visitâ and ask for a little help, but that part was reserved for later. âHow you holding up in our frozen pit of hell?â Emmerich smiled to the last question he offered, lifting his hand and tilting his helmet back to have a better look at his host.
Tucking a hand behind him to rub slowly at his lower back, he rolled his shoulders, easing a bit of the tension felt after that brief flicker of pain. It didn't last long, thanfully. He brought his hands forward again and set them upon his desk, fingers lacing comfortably as a smile crossed his lips. It wasn't who he expected but he couldn't say he was disappointed.
"No, no of course I do not mind. Please, have a seat if you like." He gestured to the arm chair upon the other side of his desk and glanced over to the coffee maker, pondering whether or not he should get a pot started. "Mm? Ah not too terribly bad. It is a nice change in weather for a little while. Thank you for coming by. It has been rather quiet lately."
