Ok, I'm at the Cold Open for episode 10 and Bolaire is showing one of the Pariah Blades to Lady Cormoray. She cut herself on the blade (on purpose, interesting but a topic for another discussion) and Bolaire made a show of putting his hand Charles Xavier style to "the mask" on "his face" to perform prestidigitation and clean the blood off the sword.
I bet Bolaire is trying to keep up the impression that he is in fact a man with a cursed mask attached to his face. A cursed mask that he draws power from. Which is so smart. Because even if Lady Cormoray knows something about the weapons of the halflings and is poking around, there's no reason to assume she knows the entire story and the more misinformation he can feed her the better.
