Magickal Herbs: How to... cold infusions?
Cold infusions are good for delicate herbs, that lose their quality when heated. These are flowers or some soft roots, especially roots, that contain mucus.
Examples of herbs used in cold infusions:
Depending on the amount of infusion needed, usual amount is a tea spoon or soup spoon of herbs for about 125 ml cold water.
Making cold infusion is actually quite easy:
Put the herbs in a cup (or a pot if you want to prepare more than one cup).
Pour cold water over the herbs.
Cover the cup, to prevent that essential oils from dissolving.
Let the cold infusion wait overnight or for 8 to 12 hours, in a dark place on room temperature.
Pour the infusion through a sieve, do not press the herbs out.
Drink or apply the infusion.
EDIT: As pointed out by colourwytch, mistletoe is poisonous. I removed it from the list, thank you. That's what you get when looking up common herbs in infusions and don't check facts...
Disclaimer: The stones and herbs are merely helping with recovery or preventing. As it’s not medicine, it will not always help. In doubt ALWAYS contact a doctor.
