1- Are people genuinely starting to use the word “womyn” unironically now? cause this isn’t the first time I’ve seen that and it’s scaring me.
2- Why is tumblr constantly suggesting radical feminist blogs, when all they do is make me facepalm and wanna gouge my eyes out?
3- Tumblr please stop this.
> Dworkin... isn’t that the one who said she wanted to beat all men to a bloody pulp with a baseball bat?
“...nor would they even consider that a man had murdered a woman.” lol - everyone accepts that men murder women. It’s the opposite that takes some time convincing people.
> The right to vote is empowering; men supported giving it to women, without them having to earn it like men do. Gender-specific scholarships are empowering to women; the "patriarchy” wholeheartedly embraced it.
Women’s safe spaces are- oh wait, those are babying, not empowering. And feminism pushed for them. Hmmm...
> Gender norms, such as the idea that men’s violence is a serious problem and women should be afraid, but that women wanting men beaten to death is justified? or that selling your body for profit makes you a victim?
> For one thing, people comparing the two types of mutilation are generally comparing arguments for/against each, not the amount removed or anything.
Second, boys (and men in some cultures) are also mutilated in the most unhygienic way, with zero pain relief. Muslim boys are simply pinned down whilst circumcised, and expected to not cry whilst one of their most sensitive part is being sliced off. They also can experience phantom pains for the rest of their lives, as is my case.
> If TW means trans women; those are people who feel uncomfortable with their bodies, not people who wanna have female body for funsies.
On the other hand, don’t radfems constantly spew out that childbirth makes women superior to men? Wonder who’s doing fetishization here ;)
> ...Riiiight, because that’s what porn is, violently abusing girls. It’s not like porn actors/actresses exist or anything.
I’m sure “female domination” and “gay porn” aren’t a thing, either.
> Men are likelier to be targets of violent crime, you being more scared of men isn’t gonna change that. Besides, you’re more likely to be abused by someone you know than some strange men... as well as likelier to get away with abuse, or receive a lighter punishment if you do.
Also, the “friendzone” isn’t about “sexually available”, it’s about romantic feelings. Why women like you claim to oppose gender stereotypes, but can’t imagine men being able to feel love without sexual desire, is beyond me.
> A few popular male figures get away with violence, it’s all about how “men can get away with anything”. A whole bunch of everyday women get away with violence, not a peep. Sexist double standard, indeed; just not the one you’re bumbling on about.
> Again, the friendzone is a romance thing, not usually a sex thing. But, I guess women like you don’t think we’re people.
When it is sexual - well, it’s not like men are socially expected to make the first move, right? Expected to pay on the first date, to bring the flowers or chocolate, to propose on his knees...
> And remember kids, it’s empowering feminist action to talk about how you wanna beat up a man just because you assume he may have possibly hurt a woman in the past~
...There’s much more, but I can’t bear any more of this bullshit.
