What does it mean to follow Christ? What does it mean to be free of darkness? To be free of darkness we must seek the Lord for clarity as to the access points where the darkness enters our lives. Are we taking our thoughts captive? Are we rebuking antagonistic lies with the Truth of our identity according to Christ? Walk in the Light of God’s love displayed in the work of Christ. Good morning #coffeewiththeking crowd! I thoroughly enjoyed my Sabbath yesterday. My soul needed that time to deep dive with my Abba. I feel so refreshed in Him. This morning as I read the Word this verses jumped out at me in light of all that the Lord has been laying on my heart. Lately He’s been showing me the enemy’s strategy to defeat His children, and it culminates at “identity.” “Did God really say...?” The enemy is in full in attack at the identity of people around the world. Even within the Body we are fractured in our beliefs that we are who our Abba declares us to be, or have access to the fullness of His power. Our unbelief is hurting our victory. But, God DID really say He loves you. He DID really make you for a purpose. He CAN really help you to overcome the sinful places in your heart, and He DOES forgive you abundantly in your repentance. The liar wants to tell you otherwise. Either on the one hand that you aren’t forgiven, but are defined by your past or present sins; or, that there aren’t any sins in your life to repent of anyway. Both are lies, and both are meant for your destruction. Rebuke the lies with the TRUTH. If you are willing to release the control grip on your life and let our Abba reveal who you truly are in Him, the life you gain will serve you for eternity. Trust the woo-er of your soul. He loves you more than you can comprehend, and wants you to live life fully in Him. For that is the only way a full life of freedom exists. Shalom. #faithwalk #firstlove

“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt....” ~ James 1: 6 Good morning #coffeewiththeking crowd! What is the Lord speaking to your heart this morning? My heart is heavy this morning in prayer for many professed believers who are confused about the goodness of God. I feel the need to address some things to maybe help provide some clarity. Abba, may Your Spirit go before me. Sweet sister, the enemy of your soul has done a great number to bring destructive people into your life who have been wolves in sheep’s clothing, or under the influence of the wolves. They lie and are not of God. The Truth: YOU ARE LOVED. If you desire to see Him work in your life, call on Him in faith, even faith the size of a mustard seed. Hold onto the hope and the word that He will answer you, for He is good and loves to show Himself to those who seek Him. When the attacks of doubt come, rebuke them with the Truth, and praise the One who loves you and wants nothing but good for your life. Above all, get to know Yahweh Abba. He professes who He is in His Word, the many characteristics of His totality. Not one can be removed, and not one is more true than another. He brings love AND holiness. Offers Truth AND kindness. Brings provision AND discipline. Desires worship in Spirit AND Truth. Do not let the enemy break off pieces of His character as though they are a lie. His Word does not lie, but is proven True. Faith is making the choice to believe, even when understanding has not yet fully come. Sweet sister, ask for Him to reveal Himself to you. He will! He LOVES you, more than you can even imagine. He loves you so much that He made sure that every sin and evil thought and slip of sin would be covered by the final sacrificial offering, Jesus the Christ. The enemy has no claim on you, but you must believe and keep holding onto that belief until the end. Even when it is confusing. Even when you feel lost, keep holding onto the faith with a death grip. Proclaim the Good News: “I AM FORGIVEN AND FREE IN THE EYES OF GOD!!!!” Stand firm. Do not give up. He is with you. Shalom. #faithwalk #firstlove

“Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” ~ 1 John 4:8 Good morning #coffeewiththeking crowd! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! I have read through the OT and finally begun the Gospel of Matthew again. Yay! The Love of God has been a hot topic on my mind a lot lately. I think far too often well-meaning believers push out the just nature of God over the loving nature of Him. This is not to say that we are not to live holy lives without protected sin, but rather that we must be willing to bear with each other while God strengthens us to fight our individual and unique battles. Marriage is the most perfect example of this concept. Both a husband and a wife must learn to extend respect and acceptance to where their spouse is in their walk if the struggle is not blatant sin. It is one thing to feel anger and a while other thing to abuse and destroy others IN anger. One is a feeling; the other is a practice. Does anger often stir from a sinful place? Yes, BUT the feeling alone is not the issue. Does God want to cleanse us from all unrighteousness? YES, but He walks with us through the journey of sanctification piece by piece as He unveils each layer that has led to that particular sin struggle in the first place. If I struggle with FEELING angry, but do not sin IN my anger, then I am not disobeying. But rather “it is sin living in me” (Romans 7:17) that reacts. It is far easier to subdue the flesh and change behaviors than it is to change the heart. The change of heart is the work of the Holy Spirit, as we are transformed into a new creation in Him. This takes time, patience, commitment to Christ, a trust-filled relationship with our Abba, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Let us not condemn one another when God approves of us. He is FAR more patient than we even come close. Sweet sister, if you are feeling waves of condemnation over you because you are still navigating the freedom from a sin struggle, take heart. God is with you, and He will be sure to complete the work He has started (Phil. 1:6). Stay true to Him, stand firm in the Word, and He will fulfill His promises for you one little step at a time. Time for my #coffeewiththeking and naturally my newly turned 4 yo awakes and wants to snuggle. Truth be told, I can struggle with this even though I do love the snuggles because I need some time alone in the morning to set my day on a good note. So, we compromise and snuggle for a bit and then part ways...and then repeat again with the other two or three who wake up, lol. Life as mom is quite a journey of honoring God, others, and self in Love, and it seems the lessons never stop coming 😊. Shabbat Shalom, sweet sisters. Enjoy your day of rest. #faithwalk #firstlove

My knees are finally all better, but #c25k will need to be put on hold for a while it seems. Need to re-strengthen my knee muscles before trying that again 😒 Thankfully, though, I can walk, so walk I shall. Whatcha reading? “Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster He said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.” ~ Jonah 3:10 The Father’s deep and forgiving heart always amazes me. No matter how far we stray, nor path we choose, we are never so far that He will not receive us back with open arms when we recognize our sin and return to Him. Sin is the tricky part, not forgiveness. Sin lies and twists the Truth to distort the eyes and blur the vision. This is why the heart and mind matter so much; our sight gets corrupted when these two begin to doubt sin. But, sweet sister, when we firmly set our hearts and minds on the things of God, holding firmly to the Word EVEN when we cannot see clearly why it says what it says, but rather choosing to trust the our Abba is the God of Love He proclaims Himself to be, that is when we have chosen the path where our sight will clear and sin will be revealed for what it is: separation from God. Abba, cleanse our hearts and minds and reveal Yourself to us always that we may see clearly the ways that lead to death and turn as the people of Nineveh did. We can be sure that You will receive us, as these steps are the following works that faith leads. Thank You for Your steadfast love, even when I’m unlovable.
