Yes, but that makes no sense for Lydia. She has no extra-curriculars, she spent MONTHS in a mental institute during her senior year where she was definitely not going to class or studying, she’s been running about since she was 16, skipping classes left and right and having no time to compensate for it, she spoke a language that doesn’t even exist lol and the leadership qualities the school praised her for don’t exist anymore because she stopped being popular and having any influence in school activities in season 2. How is she a good candidate for MIT with this past? And sure, maybe the school is hiding those things, maybe Natalie pulled some strings, but that has to be explained in canon or else it makes zero sense.

Derek had been running late for his class, computer science was not a class you were late for, so he’d been hurrying down the hallway, his nose stuck in a book to ensure he got caught up on todays lesson and no focus on the world around him before he walked straight into a person, slamming the book in his own face and sending his glasses to the floor. “I am so sorry” Derek stuttered, blinking to get the person into focus, but without glasses it was next to impossible.

“Not Stiles...” Lydia mumbles, cuddling in closer to her best friend.
