My brain has finally caught up to the fact that we won't only have new Content, we'll have new FAN Content
Like, there will be people writing and drawing and theorising and analysis about this series we've all held so dearly to our hearts. They'll get to read the books for the first times and see all the little quirks and jokes that exist so naturally to us, but they have no clue about. People get to make their own little indulgent headcanons and validate the ones that exist as our own little facts. Holly and Flo and Kipps and Skully and George and Lucy and Lockwood all get to be rediscovered in their original context and people get to fall in love with them anew
This series is nearly 10 years old. I started reading it in primary school before The Hollow Boy was even released and read The Empty Grave in the ninth grade and I tried so hard to get people to read them so I knew there was someone else that understood. I'm in university now and people, so many more people than the few of us that love these characters and this world and this story, will finally understand.
I don't know, this was just such a jarring thought I had today in Probability and Stats and I figured you guys might get it.
