Journey through the wild world of programming
Well, hello there, fellow nerds! Are you ready for a hilarious journey through the wild world of programming? Buckle up, because we're about to embark on a wild ride.
Let's start with the basics. Programming is essentially like talking to a robot, but instead of using words, you're using a language that only the robot understands. It's kind of like trying to speak to your cat, but instead of meows, you're using a series of commands.
Now, if you're a programmer, you know that sometimes things don't always go as planned. In fact, sometimes it feels like the code you're working on is possessed by the devil himself. One minute everything is fine, and the next minute you're getting error messages that make absolutely no sense. It's like the computer is mocking you, laughing at your feeble attempts to make it do what you want.
But fear not, my friends, because there are ways to tame the wild beast that is programming. One of the most important skills you can have as a programmer is patience. Lots and lots of patience. You'll need it when you're staring at a screen for hours on end, trying to figure out why your code isn't working.
Another essential skill is problem-solving. You have to be able to think creatively and come up with solutions to problems that you never even knew existed. It's like being a detective, only instead of solving crimes, you're trying to figure out why your code won't compile.
And let's not forget about the joys of debugging. Debugging is when you spend hours trying to find and fix errors in your code, only to realize that the problem was a missing semicolon or a typo.
4 different ways of removing spaces from a string, sorted by cleanliness.
The replaceAll() method was introduced in ES2021 and I feel it is still underused because many still don’t know about its existence. The last 2 are for educational purposes, they work but we should prefer the replaceAll() or replace() methods for this type of operation.
If you have any topic that you would like me to cover please leave a comment. And, remember to have fun playing with JS! 👍
Why NumPy?
So in data science what is the thing we deal with? @womaneng Data, right? Yes, and how do we store the data? Array? List? Dictionary? Right.. Now think here we’re dealing with tons and tons of data and the data where we’re storing is super slow. What is gonna be the experience? Terrible. Absolutely, and that is why we use NumPy. In data science NumPy is the fundamental package to perform high-level mathematical computations on multi-dimensional arrays. So we store the data in NumPy arrays, and use NumPy to perform those computations.
