We got our 15 players but I’m going to wait until I get accounts in before I announce anything regarding opening. If you have a certain day that works best for you though, please let me know! I’m leaning towards Wednesday or Thursday for opening but I want to make sure as many people as possible can be on so let me know what days and times work best for you. I want to start by thanking the wonderful players that we’ve had -- whether you were one of the many that, unfortunately, went inactive or one of the few who’ve stuck this slump out with me. But I need to be honest; we are losing far more players than we’re gaining and we’re only a few weeks old. As much as Codes means to me, it also means that now is just not the time for this group -- and continuing to come onto a dead dash is depressing me. Thus, with a heavy heart, I will be closing it.
As I said, it comes down to the fact we’re losing more members than we’re gaining. That seems to be a pattern I’m seeing around the rpc right now -- perhaps because August is the last month of summer, where many are getting in their last minute vacations or preparing for the upcoming school year. I don’t know, honestly, but I think that’s a part of the reason why we’ve struggled. Even then, maybe there’s just something about this group. I’ve had a promo blog running at all hours of the day but it’s only brought in a handful of people.Â
Whatever the case, I do appreciate these past few weeks -- maybe, sometime in the future, I can bring this group back. For now, I’m throwing in the towel. I am extremely thankful to everyone who has been here and you can find me at @tonyredgrave if you want to keep in contact. Whether you do or don’t, I wish all of you will in your future roleplay endeavors and I’m sorry that I couldn’t make this group work.
Alright, so we have accounts from fifteen people which means time for a vote. Although I mentioned Wednesday earlier, it won’t work for me because I have people coming from Comcast that afternoon ( my internet has been obnoxiously slow the past week and it was the earliest they could fit me in ). I don’t know when they’ll get here, only between 3-5, or how long they’ll take so it’s a no-go for me. I don’t want to open on Tuesday though just to be gone the next day. Therefore opening day will be Thursday the 2nd.Â
As for the time, there will be two polls. The first one is on whether we should have pre-plotting and the second is the actual time we should open. The first one is self-explanatory but for the second one, two things to keep in mind. One, you can pick multiple answers ( if multiple work for you ) and input an other option if something else is better. I chose these times to account for both our GMT and PST members which leaves me with a limited amount of options. Still, I’m open to other options. Two, this doesn’t take into account a plotting period beforehand. That period would be 1-2 hours so calculate that into your vote if it’s what you want.

Sorry for the small delay but I want to be able to enjoy this with all of you and hopefully these extra couple days will give us a chance to pick up some more members. I’ll announced results tomorrow afternoon or evening. Also, sorry for another mascot change but Yara’s gifs weren’t working for me.
I’ll be on for another hour or two but I wanted to give everyone notice that I’m unlikely to be available until late tomorrow, possibly Tuesday. I’ve got a day trip to the beach planned and while the intentions are not to stay overnight, it’s not out of the question. I won’t be bringing my computer but I’ll log-in on my phone to give an update if that happens. I’m stocking the promo queue through Tuesday though and I’ll be getting on my character accounts before I got to bed tonight.Â

I’m getting tired so I’ll be heading to be early. I’ve loved our opening day and I’d love to have more people join us so if you’re interested, check out our wanted connections and most wanted. It may be the beginning of August in Anchorage, Alaska but rain and mild temperatures persist throughout the forecast.Â
That rain was nearly the reason the search for Adam Breuer was called off -- the forests surrounding Anchorage were muddy and any chance of a scent trail had been lost. However, before the APD could call off the search, a local mushroom hunter stumbled across the body.Â
“He was so pale,” the man, who asked not to be identified, recalled to reporters. “I thought he was a mannequin at first, but then I turned him over and saw the-- the wound, I guess. And his face. His eyes were open. I recognized him from the flyers and I don’t know how, honestly. He looked so different. So... I don’t even know. Dead.”
The wound the man was referring to is suspected as the cause of death. A gaping hole in Breuer’s chest, deep enough to reach the heart. “Brutal,” was a word both the discoverer and the police could agree on. While the details have yet to be officially published, news has spread that wooden splinters were also found in the wound -- a detail that, while odd, would match the deaths of at least two others in the recent string of deaths in Anchorage. While police continue deny any connection, some have grown skeptical. Until we know more, we’ll just have to keep a watchful eye on our cloudy city.

Another death has struck Anchorage... And also marks the grand opening of this group. Reactions will vary depending on your character but as this isn’t the first death ( or first vampire killed ) in the past few months, they may not be bothered. Feel free to do with whatever you like -- or nothing at all if it doesn’t matter to your plots and characters. You are welcome to be as creative as you like.Â
An important note: make sure to post in-character within 24 hours. I will be doing an activity check tomorrow around this time or a little later and if you haven’t posted or contacted me for an extension, you will be on the unfollow list. Whether you got the plots you wanted or not, it’s key that you start interacting -- posting and replying to starters, making starter calls, etc. An intro won’t count.
We’ll also likely be holding a true event sometime in the next few weeks ( if you’d like to make suggestions for this, they’re welcome ) and, before that, we’ll have our first task.
And one last thing... Tumblr / Xkit is currently having some issues with editable reblogs where it’ll only show your reply and not your partner’s. Someone has found a very simple work around that you can find explained here.

Hi! A more formal opening post will be made when we open for interactions in 2 hours but as the overwhelming majority of you voted for it, we are now open for plotting. A follow list either went up right before this or will right after this. Now is the time to post intros and message one another for plots, discuss the ones you have, or plan out starters for when interactions start.Â
If you’re not interested in plotting for whatever reason, that’s fine, and I hope to see you in a couple hours or later tonight. For those of you participating, make sure to reach out to as many people as you can. We’ve got a lot of lovely members with even more interesting characters so you shouldn’t be short on people to plot with.
