you really have to take a holistic approach to drugs or supplementation
because environment, the passage of time, the body deciding to do whatever it decides to do - these all affect the end result
aside from the individual genetic makeup which makes different people react totally differently to the same thing
like, your body produces so many powerful drugs, on demand. you can go from substance A having effect A on one day to a completely different effect later. a peptide is generally an analogue or fragment of something the body makes naturally; all that powerful goodness is stuff your body was triggered to do. it’s definitely weird and complicated. and they all interact.
and your perception of things changes - what might seem like a totally fine state one day seems very not so the next.
the same things apply.. in reverse? it’s really easy to Just Not Notice social environments changing over time, frog-boiling-water. the days growing darker. the stresses building up. and you feel like you should be able to maintain the same mood through it all and you blame yourself when you can’t.
you’ve got to love strange wrap-around anxieties, such as, “what if I’m too anxious and that means I’m not healthy it’s proof everyone knows i’m actually fucked up” but
I don’t care. I know you demon and my response to you is shrug. I am pretty great and the stuff I’m going through is minor. and that’s pretty impressive given the ridiculous lack of real-life social contact.
