Anyway, for your question:

Steam: Describe one of your fantasies, sexy or otherwise.

I have a lovely house in San Francisco—one of those painted ladies you always see on TV. It’s a duplex to keep rent down, but I don’t mind the size. (And somehow, I can afford it, because even duplexes are wicked expensive, even with roommates.) It’s got wood floors and white walls and an adorable kitchen.

I’m within walking distance of the Mission. Sometimes I wake up early and walk down there to one of my favorite bakeries, so I can pick up a coffee or hot chocolate and some pastries when they’re fresh.

I’m also within walking distance of the small indie bookstore that has given me a job. I’m friends with my coworkers; we have a ball arranging little events and writing out the “staff picks” cards for book recommendations.

And when my shift is over, I walk over to the tea shop where I once met a cute girl with stunning freckles and purple hair—except this time, I ask her on a date. Hang around, drinking a latte she made me on the house, while I wait for her shift to end. Let her show me around the neighborhood, to one of the many places she recommended when I was a tourist there. And by God, I kiss her by the end of that date.

Mmm, after hitting that cosy part of a relationship where we know each other well, I would love to do a mix of familiar things—quiet nights in, simple dinner dates, etc—and trying new things together. So for a 100th date, maybe taking a class, like a cooking or painting class. Maybe an activity that would leave us something to remember it by—a new recipe to use on date night, a picture to hang at the wall (and possibly laugh at, if we’re not very good).

i actually already started a draft, and then lost steam like two scenes in 😅

the reader in Cocoa is super sweet and kind of naive, so Steve would play hard on that. i imagined she’d be a little resistant, because well… she was heat-crazy, and a man she honestly doesn’t know very well came to her house and marked her.

basically, Steve’s in damage control mode, lol. he’s trying to get her to fall for him (and stop questioning the legitimacy of the bond), and also keep her from finding out he’s orchestrated everything, which honestly wouldn’t be too hard, considering he didn’t leave much of a trail.

i imagined him doing all sorts of grand romantic gestures (mainly because he’s built up this romance in his head, for her, he’s still practically a stranger, and a celebrity lmfao) and she’d be really overwhelmed, but feel guilty about not accepting them, because Dark! Alpha!Steve is the king of gaslighting and manipulation lol
