Our plastic-free tape measure comes in six colors; Clay, Linen, Storm, Sea Glass, Mustard Seed, and Wild Rose (red, white, gray, aqua, yellow, and pink). After years of requests, we have finally made our own version of a tape measure - in Sea Glass, Mustard Seed, and Wild Rose (aqua, yellow, and pink). The bright colors will ensure you can always find it in your project bag. Because Cocoknits is committed to avoiding plastic wherever possible, we manufactured it from PLA, a 100% biodegradable plant fiber (similar to the Needle Gauge, but not water soluble). The absence of a locking mechanism keeps them 100% plastic-free and reduces the likelihood of breakage.

Each tape measure is packaged in a reusable linen drawstring bag to minimize packaging waste.

How to Use

The tape measure does not have a locking mechanism, so hold the metal tab or the tape at the body to keep it extended.

Care

One of the many advantages to knitting is that you can take it with you everywhere! And, in the process, lose little knitting notions everywhere! I wanted a way to truly contain all my knitting tools while traveling – so I came up with the Maker’s Keep magnetic bracelet.

It is a slap-bracelet so it fits everyone (one size truly fits all here). You can wear it, or simply drop it in your knitting tool bag to keep all the tools together – or even unfurl it and push the magnet to one end to use it as a straight edge while reading down a pattern.

The perfect addition to your knitting kits. These stitch markers are nylon-coated steel which makes them magnetic and so much easier to rescue when dropped with the help of any magnet.

I love a stitch marker to alert me that I need to do something in my knitting – either for a stitch pattern, an increase or decrease, or beginning of round… but stitch markers get lost! Down the cracks of the sofa, dropped on an airplane or bus, never to be seen again – so frustrating! So I worked to create a super smooth, steel based, nylon coated marker in a rainbow of colors – that also stick to the Maker’s Keep or any magnet. And now they are an integral part of the Cocoknits Method, in which the knitter uses specific colors to mark sleeves, body, front left, front right, etc. which correspond to the same colors on the Cocoknits Method Worksheet.
