This is a very popular question. Usually I'm just excited to see my wife and kids, and that's when the good photos happen. Compare those to the ones from MarathonFoto, and you'd get a different vibe. Sure, I'm hurting in some way when I'm out there. But it's a good hurt. A hurt that I'm familiar with from hours and hours of training. A hurt that means I'm doing the best I can. Maybe I'm a masochist?? It's rare that I'm having a truly bad race. Mostly I'm thrilled to be running fast and showing off what I worked so hard for. I don't think I could convince myself to do it all if I didn't think it was fun. I'll wave and smile at anyone I recognize or gives me a shout. @cmjhawk86

I’m actually getting a lot better about going to bed earlier these days. I realized how much time I was just wasting dawdling around at night and have managed to add 30-60 minutes of extra sleep a night. It’s amazing how much of a difference it really makes. 

I won’t be able to do the Olympic this year but I’m signed up for the Sprint in August.

I’ll go with the 15K PR, too.

I tried keeping an eye out for you during the race but I must have missed you. Good job with the third place masters' finish!

Since there were no elites this morning, the guy who won ran it in like 2:40 while the girl who won ran it in 2:58!
