Sooo..... I've been going back through the archives of AO3 looking for new/classics and I stumbled on a little gem. As of right now it hasn't been updated for 6ish months, but what it there is still so very good and valid.

I personally don't often get into BDSM practices, irl or fics, but the sheer amount of respect in this fic is humbling and such a great example. Both as a partner respecting someone's gender identity and boundaries, as well as an author respecting that we love aliens/characters both because and inspite of their differences.

All aboard the feels train.

While this is a beautiful story, please be aware that this explicitly addresses the loss of a child. Having been warned, this is a wonderful short and so very worth the tears in the journey. There is nothing more I can say other than this story is-

beautiful.

This is about a 'very good boy' who is also a 'very paranoid boy' if you were to replace 'boy' with 'symbiote'.

Fandom: Venom

Pairing: Eddie Brock / Venom (does not immediately read as romantic)

This is a beautifully thought out story about 2 disasters who actually aren't disasters and take care of themselves and each other beautifully. If you want the technical side to how symbiotes hurt and could help their hosts, this story is a wonderful example.

This is 'life goals'. If we all could emulate a little more of this, even just within family, the world would be a much better place.

Rating: M (minor gore/eating and implied/figurative limey goodness) (one fuck?)

This is a very good family story with VenBrock helping/being the 'gaurdians' to 2 teens. There are lovely POVs from nearly each character (without becoming lost), as well as beautifully open communication (without feeling forced or too OOC). This is the kind of family, born or found, we all could strive towards.

And this, folks, is what happens when the best type of geek wrangles a wonderful (if not a little plot-hole-y) fandom. Another win for The Nerds! Suck it, jocks!

In all seriousness, this is an absolutely lovely story that is so very rich in in-depth, thought out, details and interaction. You can learn so much, not only from the story itself, but in TheGypsyQueen's lovely notes as well. While the story is a melting pot of communication diversity, cultural interactions and emotional growth and expression; her notes at the end of each chapter offer well researched and expressed scientific facts/coincidences/fudges that whether of not you are a confirmed Xeno/Teratophiliac you will at least come out of this story having learned and been wonderfully engaged in knowledge and information you didn't know before.

Fluffy well written fluff on a warm and fuzzy emotional rollercoaster of self discovery and relationship development; that is also so very well thought out.

Pairing: Eddie Brock / Venom symbiote

This is set after the movie and is really just them settling in to all aspects of their symbiosis and relationship after the drama. It is a very well done work that gives both of these walking disasters the love and respect they deserve.

This work is currently one chapter from being 'complete' and absolutely worth the read (and re-read (and re-re-read (and re-re-re-read))).
