Nevar is the Ayam Cemani I have always wanted but never thought I would get. So, so, so very dark. Just gorgeous. Cannot wait for her to be out in the sunlight so I can start learning how to get decent photos of her.

Yesterday the new hens got to enter into the main area of the coop and explore. This meant meeting new birds without netting between them, and seeing new areas. Nevar decided to take a tour of the Beak Bunk facilities.

Apparently, these are already taken. Drama Queens. Nevar appears unflappable. Should she have called first?
The Accused stands ready to defend her actions, but the jury let her off with a warning. Cinder showed up to make sure all stayed civil, he is a bit prejudiced in the matter as he would enjoy two more ladies about!
Please forgive the mess in the Bunk, it has been a very sloppy Spring. The inside doesn’t get scrubbed until it is warm enough for it to dry before bedtime, so we have to make do with scraping, sweeping and wiping until then.
