This place was both fascinating and absolutely bewildering. Zazie had never seen a place that could compare even remotely compare, not even their home Before The Water Left. There had been life beyond them there, but nothing like this. There were so many people, more than Humans and Plants and Worms, different things walked around as if it was normal and buildings taller then even July had been towered above them. Were it not for the cold and the strange inability to pull out their mask they flew as one with, they'd have simply flown up to get a better look up close.
They needed information about this new place, this new world, and apparently, the Archive was the place to find it. Luckily, humans were just as likely to help a small person with big soulful eyes here as they were at home. Children really could get away with almost anything.
Their small size was, however, a detriment now, while they stared up at large shelves filled with books. Books had information that humans could get easily, and Zazie had figured they could too. But that requires them to be able to get the books down, which they could, but only if they swarmed to get them. And that would give them away too easily.
Instead, they trotted up to the nearest person and tugged gently at their sleeve. Big aqua eyes looked up pathetically, Zazie using their best begging expression on him.
"Can you help me get that book down please? I can't reach it." They point to a quite large tome perched on a high shelf, one chosen simply for its size. Surely that meant there was a lot of information in it, right? Of course, that was how it worked.
