I don't think ive seen anyone mention it, but in one of the very first trailers we see Tomoko and Closer eating at a "Big Hamburger" Thats clearly Bigbang Burger but without the space theming, i mention this cuz it may imply either Okumura is in the same situation as Sojiro, or that it may be after the plot of regular p5 and the company rebranded after his abuse of staff or somthing? idk how much i buy the latter but i think its an intresting concept. Very intrested in where X is gonna be on the timeline. (if at all)
Oh, yes, that one tends to fall by the wayside compared to the lack of Sojiro, but it has come up! It's not even just "Big Hamburger", they've literally only removed the word bang from the name, making the restaurant in P5X "Big Burger".
With the recent confirmation that P5X is a parallel world to P5, right now the two main theories seem to be that things like Sojiro missing + Leblanc just being a generic coffee shop, Big Bang Burger just being Big Burger, and the Crossroads bar in Shinjuku being a generic bar are because either A) the P5 characters still exist in this universe but have lived different lives here, leading to those places never opening, or B) most of the P5 cast doesn't exist in this universe, so the places they would have run are run by other characters instead.
