CLOSPLAYING IN ANIME: SWORD ART ONLINE

Let me start off by saying that I did not enjoy Sword Art Online (great premise, terrible execution). I really don’t advocate watching it - but let’s not get into that too much.

On a whim, I decided to watch Sword Art Online II and I was pleasantly surprised to see Asuna and Kirito unintentionally closplaying their SAO avatars. They even make a point of acknowledging it to each other, and honestly their outfits are super adorable.

I was also pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the first arc of SAO2. Even if you don’t watch the whole thing, I think just watching this short scene is worth it! 

Day 25: Jade as Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan

Wow, I really wish I could’ve done my hair like hers for this picture, but I’ve been waaaay too busy to straighten my hair (also lazy whoops).

Day #6: Jade as Makoto Tachibana from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club

Yes, I am dressed as my anime husband today. It’s a bit chilly today, but warm enough to wear a skirt so this outfit was the ideal choice! I wore my signature pearl earrings to give a bit more class to the look. 

The yin necklace is just the yin-yang necklaces that me and my girlfriend wear, but if you really want to connect it to Free, think of it as Makoto wears the water-half of Yin-Yang for his best friend (coughandlovercough) Haru. 

Boom, day two of business casual closplay continues with my very first role-play muse and all-time favorite character, Itachi Uchiha from Naruto. I picked a flowy dress for his cloak and a red jacket for the clouds. I suppose this outfit could really be any of the Akatsuki, but I had Itachi in mind when I made it.
