Close to the Bone by @lisaraniray is not what you would expect, as a memoir of THE 90s pin-up girl you would expect a name-dropping litany to Bollywood. However, it is something much more powerful and intimate, a fitting example of the old adage 'don't judge a book by it's cover'. The book is a rare look into the tumultuous mind of a 17 year old overnight success, a shy-introverted-rebel at heart, whose life has always been a double-edged sword.
