“hope?” she asks, looking around while fidgeting with the hem of her skirt, from habit more than anything. “hope mikaelson?”

Since meeting Seth, Charlie was excited to meet up with the man at the bar where they had met. This is not because she was in love with him, or had any sort of intimate feelings for him but simply because she had a regular drinking buddy; misery loves company after all. Walking through the door, Charlie immediately stripped off her leather jacket, folding it and placing it neatly on her arm as she sauntered to the bar area. Seeing his dirty blonde hair, the woman made moves toward him, occupying the empty bar stool beside him. “When are you gonna order me my drink before I get here?” the woman playfully complained, waving down the bartender for her order. “I mean, it is the polite thing to do after all.”

The texts cause a stir of emotions within Tae. He was attempting to enjoy his pre - New Year’s Eve without the problems of others, by himself and hoping for a better year ahead; yet, the text he got from Min threw all of that out the window. his mind was racing, and his heart ached. What the hell were they thinking? attempting to distance themselves from him? No — as messed up as it sounded, he was the one one who cold push the other away, because that was just how he was and they knew him and his reasoning’s. But now that it was switched? he wasn’t sure how to feel. “what the fuck.” he breathed, thrown his phone and pushing himself up off the couch. He wasn’t just going to wait around for a text; he was going to get answered in person. 

KJ couldn’t ignore the funny feeling he got in his stomach with each step he took closer to Kirby and Ethan’s apartment door; donned in his PJ’s and a bag full of snacks in hand. He couldn’t ever ignore the feelings there when the thought of Kirby crossed his mind; much less when he was around him. But he did it anyway, forcing them to the back of his mind. Most of the time anyway, unlike now, where it was all he could think about despite not trying to. Spending too much time alone had the tendency to do that to people, he supposed, and maybe it was just the craving of wanting intimacy even in the purest and simplest form; but he was more so needing than wanting Kirby’s attention at this point. 

If there was one thing KJ knew for certain when it came to Noel, it was the fact that food was the easiest way to get her attention. Of course, there were plenty of other things he could do just as easily to get her attention, like acting like a complete annoying tool, but that was reserved for other times. Pushing the door open to Joey’s pizza parlor, the aroma of pizza filling the air reached his senses and he felt hungrier than he had prior. He glanced around, knowing that she would be here, and smirked to himself when he spotted the back of her head. “Look at who it is,” he mused, sliding into the booth opposite to her. “It’s a shocker I’d find you here — and before you give me some smart remark and tell me to go away, just know, I plan on buying a extra cheesy pizza. and the best gift of all? me giving you company. you’re welcome.”
