This is Miss Clora B and one of her three children, Darrin. She was special. When I was 16, she zoomed right in on me, and recognized that I was going to need motherly attention out here in the world. She knew I wasn’t ready emotionally to handle the scene, and she poured so much love, attention, and Information on me. Miss Clora was my “Jazz mom”. *Gone* perhaps, but never forgotten. So to those of us out here on the scene who are older: when you see these young people trying to make their way onto the scene, (just like you at one time,) pour out love, wisdom, and kindness on these young folks.
