https://goo.gl/1GL5dh We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Assistant to support the Clinical Coders within a local Mental Health NHS Trust environment based in the Basildon area. On going training will be given by the Clinical Coding Lead and Manager. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic clinical coding team. You will work with patient healthcare records to extract and translate medical information into data vital for funding, research and monitoring the effectiveness of treatment. We need someone with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. You will have demonstrable computer skills, knowledge of human biology and medical terminology is essential and the ability to work well as part of a team is essential for the successful candidate. Enter data from patients health records on to the internal database, whilst ensuring the records are accurate & complete Adhere to agreed timescales Record all external appointments attended Possess an understanding of medical terminology Monitor & rectify problems Communicate effectively with internal colleagues & other departments To be successful in this role you must have a good understanding of clinical coding, have excellent attention to detail & have the ability to manage your own workload.
