Client Visit
Three months into my new work in an Australian outsourcing company in Ortigas and I finally met our bosses (clients) from New Zealand on their visit here - Eric and Nav. I am part of a marketing team that works for Eric. It is a vaping business that is part of a group of company in Australia and New Zealand owned by Nav's father. My other office mates handles the accounts, operations and logistics. They are welcomed of course by our boss here, Brendan.
Eric and Nav are so nice and generous to us on their first day in the office. They gave us chocolates that Monday morning. Love the rich Whittaker's chocolate artisan collection.
Our company is lovely for allowing their employees to clock out one hour early and not use their lunch break for special cases. We left the office at 1:30pm because we will all eat out for lunch. We walked to Podium and have our hearty lunch at Lola. Eric ordered A LOT and his favorite were Salmon Belly Sinigang, Lola's Bicol Express, and Tiger Prawns in Aligue. It's my first time their and my favorite is Truffle Lengua and Kimchi Caldereta.
After our lunch and chit-chats, we went to a karaoke place and had fun. Eric sang I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith and Yesterday by The Beatles. Eric and Nav left early because they had a meeting and we stayed in our remaining 30 minutes. Pure laughing session while singing our hearts out.
That was all their treat when they visited for a week and bonded with us. Yesterday was their last day in the office so they treat all of us with Starbucks food and drinks. I ordered meatball spaghetti and a slice of blueberry cheesecake and my happy drink, iced hibiscus tea with pomegranate pearls. It is my first time to have that pasta on Starbucks and are the pasta really that thin like when you eat chow mien? Didn't enjoy my experience because of the kind of pasta used.
I just hope my experience in my current work will be good if not better because so far being under this team and in this company is really enjoyable.
