hi ok i hope this isnt a bother but i read tachyons comic and yelled (excited) bc oh my GOD i am so desperate for more emperor lore. i love emps. and imps. i am literally working on a pure G7 imperial lineage specifically to create a living weapon Anti Emperor bc i think emperors are cool as hell and want more about them. they're such an insane nightmare concept. tachyons is SO COOL. i love seeing other takes on emperor lore it brings me joy. great stuff
Not a bother! THANK YOU! I drew this comic in 7 manic hours and I'm so happy people are liking it. I love the idea of taking the Imperial lore and the in-game mechanics of Imperial breeding G1 lineages and making it loreful... I really wanted to emphasize the idea that culturally, Imperials honour their dead through remembering their ancestors. (Part of this is because they're Chinese dragons to me, and this is how ancestry is honoured for us as well.)
I don't know if it came across very clearly in the comic, but the Luminous Heir is meant to be an Emperor with far far more than 11 heads. It's simplified when I drew it, but I'm imagining at least 100! So many Imperials were absorbed into the Heir. I want to draw it properly soon! Emperors are soooo nightmare body horror and I'm obsessed.
I also really like the idea of Tachyon as a time paradox. It's kind of dumb to try and kill off all the Imperials that formed the base of an Emperor when it's dead Imperials that form an Emperor, isn't it? It's possible that Tachyon's actions are what caused the Heir to form in the first place, if the Heir existed at all.
