This acclaimed exhibition by British ceramicist Julian Stair explores the historic relationship between the human body, ceramics, and funerary practices across different cultures. Essential information regarding the exhibition: The full title is Julian Stair: Quietus: The vessel, death and the human body. The artworks include monumental vessels, cinerary jars, and life-sized sarcophagi, some reaching nearly 2 meters in height. The works were created using an Arts Council grant and fired in giant industrial kilns over two years. The exhibition toured major UK venues, including the National Museum Cardiff, Somerset House, and MIMA.
