Waking up and choking on dirt.
Breaking bones by kicking their casket so hard.
Slowly running out of oxygen (and hope)
Hearing footsteps above them but no one hearing the whumpee screaming.
Damaging their voice box from screaming.
Still bleeding from their injuries.
Water slowly dripping into the box.
A neurotoxin being pumped into the box.
A screen is placed above their face, forcing them to watch (fake) videos of their team ignoring their disappearance.
The whumpee is blindfolded and gagged inside the box, and their limbs are folded awkwardly so they are incredibly disoriented.
What if the whumpee is buried alive standing up?

Bonus points if they don’t remember anything/have amnesia.

I have a cyborg character who's basically a brain in a mechanical body who gets trapped underwater in a small space for 30 years but is kept alive by his mechanical systems, and afterward is deathly afraid of small spaces. (And being underwater.) When he gets trapped in a small room of a sinking ship, he just about loses it.

Whumptober 2020 #4: Buried Alive
They’re shoved into a casket without mercy, and the lid is forced down upon them and locked tight. A screams until their voice is raw and scratches until their fingers bleed but they’re running out of time. For what they could tell, the metal casket hadn’t been moved, but it was airtight and heavy and so small that A knew that a few more minutes of hyperventilating and they’d be out cold.
Thankfully, they didn't have to wait long as a lightly scented noxious gas sprayed in from a valve above their face. They were out in seconds.
