Dancing With the Stars
Out in a grassy field, Encompassed by star-studded darkness, Our silent observer suddenly hears The iresistable lilting beat Of an unknown melody. Our observer knows not Of its name or its origin, But, as he gazes at the stars Overhead, Eagerly drinking in the beauty Of both sight and sound, All of a sudden, the stars Begin to spin and dance Just over his head All in perfect time To the mesmerizing beat. However, the starry sky Dances not of its own accord, Rather, it is our observer who dances, With his gaze fixed heaven-ward Overcome by the irresistable beat Of an unknown melody In a field all alone With only the stars and song for company. The music and celestial space Will forever remain a mystery to him. The only thing that matters Is that he danced with the stars. -Claremarie
