So my parents have been raving about this program on PBS, "Classical Stretch". They love it so much they purchase some of Miranda Esmond-White's dvds. I finally borrowed one to see what the fuss is all about, and much to my surprise the first work out (they are all about 25 min long, this clip is a mini version of the first one I did) was much like a modern dance class warm up!
In fact, the more workouts I have tried, my rusty dance muscles have thanked me for getting back in touch with them, feels so good! So this is my latest inspiration to you old dancer friends - If you need something new, some new elements to add to class, something to help your body feel like it did when you took class, or to help you in-between class, and to you friends that aren't dancers but want to feel like a dancer….try some of her workouts! Some are posted free on YouTube, or search your local PBS channel.
Edit: I just realized she has a whole collection of mini-workouts right on her own website! So if you need a little taste, go check them out here: http://www.essentrics.com/mirandaeducationalvideo.html
