Great First Day!
What a great day! The energy and the excitement that surrounds a new school year can be felt when teachers arrive back to work for the first day. A lot of information was shared today regarding school wide changes, system wide changes and a vision for the new year. One of the best things about being a teacher is that we always get a beginning and an end. We get time to reflect and to consider how we may do things differently "next time around." As we begin to think about our "next time" realize that the "next time" is now here. What are your plans for this year? What are you excited about? Consider how you will share your excitement over these changes with your students. Students will be arriving to new faces, new resources and new expectations - academically and behaviorally. What kind of 'learner centered environment' will greet them on the first day?
