As annoying as Clancee is, I gotta give him some credit for standing up against Nadakhan. And not just with his third and final wish where he says his two bits, but earlier too. Clancee made the decision to hide the venom, rather than disposing of it as Nadakhan would've wanted.
Though... now that I think about it, that's giving me a weird vibe. Why did he choose to keep the venom, but continue to be nothing but supportive of Nadakhan throughout the wedding?
I'm not really sure how I feel about this strange little Serpentine. It's thanks to him that the ninja were able to defeat Nadakhan with the dart. But he's also the one that conveniently lost his stutter when it mattered most and finished the wedding ceremony.
I can't help but feel like he had some greater goal in mind. By not making wishes, hiding the venom, and choosing to remain the bottom rung of the crew, it's almost like Clancee was planning something. I'm not sure what, and obviously he failed, but something makes me think that he wanted a bit more than swabbing the deck for his future.
Was Clancee plotting for himself? Was he pretending weak just to steal Nadakhan's power? Was he prepared to help the ninja, only to turn on them in the last minute? Did he finally snap at the end, his carefully constructed facade crumbling when he lost patience? What is this snake's story?
You know what, maybe I've just been infected by all of @silkieluv's awesome posts on Nadakhan's crew. That works too.
