Note to Self: Let Shit Go. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My new take on letting go: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When at the end of your rope, to the ego, it is completely counter-Intuitive to let go. So for hours, days, years, lifetimes, or millennia, the ego clings tightly to “the way it’s supposed to be”. This way nothing changes. Because change terrifies the ego. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But additional suffering, misery, and emotional pain starts adding up. The ego will hide the truth. This quite disingenuous approach creates friction in the soul, which like an aging nuclear reactor, overloads and goes into meltdown. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The Event Horizon” occurs simply because the ego: • doesn’t want to die • it refuses to let go. Doing so means the ego must vacate the throne. • it was intended to be a servant but the roles changed. Now, like the Stewart of Gondor, the ego’s time is up, and it is grasping for the power it once had, kicking and screaming. • it hides a terrible truth: Ego secretly knows that the soul is more powerful, but it has duped the soul before, and will do just about anything to place the soul back in the holding cell. • it will never take ownership of the fact that fear is just another name for ego. They’re not only blood brothers. They’re the same entity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Letting go empowers the soul.
