CLARK BAILEY-REID

1. clark had an….. interesting upbringing.  granted, the time he spent with his dad and alli was all fine and dandy, but once he got older and began spending the majority of his time at his mother’s?  well, it isn’t everyday you have to turn off an oven because “it’s mad at me” (me being his mother cassie).  actually, i take that back.  if you’re clark bailey-reid, you have to do things like that everyday.

2. clark is a romantic.  you wouldn’t know unless you were an object of his affection or a very close, close friend.  but he takes all that stuff pretty seriously.  it would be vomit inducing if it wasn’t so sweet.

3. clark has been in love twice in his life.  the first time was with rachel newton.  it was heartbreaking when he realized that the on again off again relationship couldn’t continue any longer.  she ruined other women for him, in a good way that is, because he knew that no matter what flaws she had, he wouldn’t love any girl quite as much as he loved, well, loves her.  the reason i said he knew he would never love any GIRL as much is because he doesn’t.  but he does fall for someone even harder.  someone he never would have expected.  teddy cooper becomes his best friend while they’re living together in new york and both attending college.  but friendship quickly evolves into attraction and attraction into love.  and though he doesn’t want to admit it at first, he never has and never will love anyone in this universe anywhere close to as much as he loves teddy.  it’s simply not possible.

SOPHIE ELLIS

1. sophie was her parents’ baby.  she’s the only girl and the youngest.  though they doted on her frequently, she was never spoiled.  the ellis kids never needed things, they could entertain themselves just fine.  even if it meant taking their dad’s golf clubs and hitting anything that you could pick up/that would shatter.

2. scotland is everything sophie could ever want in a home, so it breaks her heart to leave.  but once she arrives back in healy and sees her family, first her mom, followed by gabe, then her dad, and lastly the twins, she knows she’ll be just as happy here.  as much as she hates to be corny, she finally realizes that they can make anywhere home.  now if they would just agree to move back to glasgow with her everything would be perfect.

3. sophie knows that her seeming lack of commitment scares theo.  but it isn’t commitment that she resists, it’s labels mostly.  and tradition.  so when she says no when theo proposes, it isn’t saying no to being with theo forever.  he won’t get off that easy, she’ll be there for the rest of his life.  it’s just saying no to rules.  she doesn’t want to get married just because they’re having a kid.  she’s not even sure that she wants to be someone’s, anyone’s wife.  so the day that the ring theo picked out disappears from the chain around her neck and he notices it on her left ring finger, he knows it’s because this is what she wants.  she’s mulled over it long enough, she’s waited long enough.  she wants to be sophie ellis-gillespie now.  no, she isn’t giving up ellis completely.  not going to happen.

CAROLINE WOLFE

1. until caroline was about fifteen, she hated her hair.  HATED IT.  her cousin diane would make fun of her for it all the time.  she didn’t see it as playful teasing, though that’s all it was.  she believes her.  and it makes her unbearably self-conscious.

2. caroline feels so much pressure to be perfect in school.  she has to study all the time.  she has to be in every club she can.  she has to play all the sports she can manage, even working out playing both field hockey and tennis in the same season.  by her senior year though, after she’s been with kyle for almost a year, she realizes what she’s done to herself and she quickly puts a halt to it.  she stops participating in the various clubs, she stops freaking out so much about her grades, and she starts spending more time with her friends, specifically molly.  because she knows that molly needs someone there with parker gone, even if she wouldn’t say that.

3. everyone tells her that she’s moving too fast.  she’s too young and so is kyle.  they don’t know what they’re doing getting engaged almost immediately following her high school graduation and having the wedding barely months later.  they know they aren’t moving too fast.  there is no such thing as too fast where they’re concerned.  they just want to be together.  they want to get a head start on everything that they each dreamed of, and this is simply the beginning.

DOMINIC WHITE

1. dominic is a white.  he’s a slytherin.  there is no acceptable thing to be other than a slytherin if you were born into the white family.  that’s why he even goes as far as to disown his mudblood loving older brother once he’s sorted into ravenclaw.  as he head his father tell his mother, his brother is now “a disappointment to the family.”  and as far as dominic is concerned, they would be better off if he ran away.

2. dominic gives his older sister shit about practically everything, he ridicules her for not being a “true” slytherin, he rips on her for her (who he calls) “jackass fiance,” nearly anything he can comment on.  but really?  he loves freya.  and sometimes when he looks at his relationship with her, he regrets the way he’s treated his brother, but he has too much pride to apologize.

3. the day dominic white falls in love may very well be a sign of the apocalypse.  not because it’s proving he has a heart (I KNOW IT IS SO SURPRISING, RIGHT?), but because she’s a gryffindor.  that’s right, A GRYFFINDOR.  and on top of that?  she’s a mudblood.  he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do.  the only person he feels comfortable telling is freya and of course, she teases him relentlessly for it, but she supports him.  she even gets him to stop using the word mudblood.  it’s a big day in dominic’s life.

LIZZIE/SWEET LENNY

1. when lizzie and sweet lenny finally meet, lizzie has only heard legend of him and his leather clothing.  maybe it’s the alcohol, maybe it’s the wedding, all she knows is that she’s strangely attracted to him even if her type is usually muscular athletes.  she finds the dirty english rocker thing pretty hot.  so when he starts hitting on her, she merely reciprocates.  and happily.

2. she told matt and april about hooking up with lenny to get back at them for having so much sex in her house.  but really, she was kind of telling them just so they knew.  because she tells matt everything.  and it sort of, kind of, kept going on.  and it sort of, kind of, still is.
