âBIOGRAPHY
There was a time where Mirae wasnât as popular as she was. In fact, the girl lived more of a normal life or at least that was what they wanted or preferred. In reality, people didnât consider it normal at all, no matter how much it was viewed that way with her parents. Once they had placed her in an elite all girls school starting around her elementary school days, it started to frustrate her parents in a way that they wouldnât expect their little daughter to act.
Mirae was only four years old when her mother had paid for vocal lessons and took the time out of her day to see her practice with her tutor, which had lasted for a few years until she turned around eight years old when her father forced her to stop, much to her motherâs dismay and disapproval of her fatherâs actions.
She was raised to be a smart, independent individual while wanting her to rely on a good education to get her far and this method had worked for awhile. Her mother wasnât around often, her father wanted the woman to stay away from Mirae or at least put her at a distant to where she wouldnât be suspicious. But even her father couldnât keep her curiousity from rising; it didnât take long for her to figure out what she wanted, which would ultimately lead to her finding a similar connection to her mother; she was the starlit that she would inspire herself to be, one who would compose her own music lyrics and have custom outfits designed for herself.
The school that her father sent her to, had a dress code that required her to wear a skirt just below the knee, she found it uncomfortable as sheâd prefer to wear something else. They were all about etiquette and discipline but as far as grades go, they were always up to par as Mirae was smart and intelligent, otherwise she wouldnât have entered. Although because of super strict teachers and their extreme ways of teaching, it had been strongly effective and yet it was enough to stress her out.
She didnât exactly fit in with most of the students until she secretly signs herself up for many after school activities such as art and choir; anything that would help improve her interests for art and music. Gone for most of the day and for hours, her father would always worry but whenever her mother comes into the picture, Mirae felt more at ease with her despite her disapproving father. And when she was kicked out for messing around with a female student and acting out towards her own teachers, she began to feel the wrath of her father.
Her mother had a dream to be one of the best international singers in the entertainment industry and by far, she was popular for writing her own music and have her outfits designed, one of a kind. Mirae inspired to be as big of a star as the woman was but her father wanting her to become an architect or an engineer was a big setback for her goals. When her family took a much needed vacation on an island in Saipan, this placed her in a rut as well as placed her into another big setback. No one expected a big wave would cause her to almost drown from being too far out of the ocean, causing her mother to come out and rescue her. Not only did she lose her life but had left Mirae alone with her unbearable father, who had been ridden with guilt.
Mirae turned twenty one, desperate to get out of isolation and that was when she had been recommended to attend Mokwon University, seemingly much more different than the private school that she attended a few years ago. Her high grades were enough to get herself into the University while her small history of trouble was nothing but small to them. Mirae had changed a bit since then, now known for her unique rapping skills and outfits which were custom made for her by her motherâs original designer whenever sheâd be out and put out a shining performance for the roaring crowd. She had become a star that she had set out to be, but not as big as her mother yet in which that was where her goal was headed. After the death of her mother, she vowed to finish her dream for her while pursuing her own.
Yeah, it had taken awhile for her father to approve of her moving to attend Mokwon University but he expected her to stay and not get kicked, to draw bad light on their family. Mirae had promised her father and she had to succeed in her dreams or else she wouldnât be able to live it all down. She tends to keep her deep grief and feelings at bay and not let the pressure to get the best of her. When she arrived, she had already made a big impression, hoping that rumors about her would not swirl as much as in the past.
âPERSONALITY
When it comes to academics and for the most part, songwriting, sheâs indifferent towards those around her and having the habit of never acknowledging those who are trying to get her attention. Even if it doesnât seem like it towards prying eyes, Mirae was quite dedicated and focused when it comes to work and preferred to get down to business instead of wasting her time. But when it comes to everything else, sheâs fairly easy going, laid back with nothing in mind but having fun when messing around with other students.
Sheâs more used to being around females, not too much males, although she does not hate them completely. Back then, she used to think that boys smelt bad with difficulty understanding her while the opposite gender was much easier to communicate with. That or they were at a whole different level but her thoughts about them dwindled and soon, she set those opinions aside for good. Mirae was passionate and creative, not wanting to say more than was necessary but she had her small outbursts here and there when stress gets to her. In truth, she holds a lot of guilt regarding the past.
Mirae still had a lot of maturity from high school days, capable of being polite and quite classy when it counts but during her off days, sheâs just as rebellious as she was when she was kicked out of the private school she attended. Sheâs much more edgy rather than girly as society would expect her to be this time around, her image coming to light as she slowly shows more of her true colors. She can be a little too honest with people other than herself, rather persistent and possessive but sheâs protective and extremely loyal to her close friends.
