I'm rather upset to hear you guys are shutting down... What about the people here now? Activity has been slow but only for a few weeks while everything at school and all has been on high.
We understand that people have been busy with midterms, but activity has been declining since before then, and apps/reserves had come to a halt too. We are not going to sit and wait weeks for people to come back from school, when the dash barely has one reply on it a day, if weâre lucky. Thereâs a difference between a slowed dashed due to school and a slowed dash due to the group dying and this was the latter. The group is closed, end of.

After careful consideration, the admins have decided that the best course of action is to close Mokwon for good. It pains us to have to do this, but with the current state of activity, weâre left with very little choice. The majority of our members are either on hiatus or busy, and despite the attempts by the admins and other members to create some sort of activity, posting starters and whatnot, weâve been met with little response. Itâs incredibly discouraging to put your all into something, only to get nothing in return. Weâve waited in hopes of activity picking up over time, but itâs yet to do so. And while it is hopeful that there are people still interested in applying, we do not want to accept these people into a dying group. Itâs counterproductive and unfair to them.
Mokwon has been through a lot of ups and downs since the beginning, and Iâve always been amazed how weâve managed to stay strong through it all. We were so happy to see the amount of people who stayed with us and who joined us for our second attempt at this group, and as disappointing as it is that weâre only days short of making it to a full year of being opened, weâre still thankful for all of you that have stuck around, whether you were there from March 2015 or if youâve just joined in the last few months. Maybe somewhere down the line weâll make a reappearance-- but for right now, we do not see another revamp going well for us.
Thank you to those that have helped to create such good memories here, and we wish you all the best. Donât consider this a goodbye, but rather, a see you later.

Mokwon classes are back in session, starting today. Feel free to have your characters interact on campus and participate in the clubs and sports. Currently, sports are in the spring season.
Another section has been added to the audition form, involving RP experience. If youâre already in the group, or applying for a secondary character, you donât have to worry about it.
Another task/writing prompt will be posted within the next few days, so keep your eyes open for that.
We will be going over the rules again to add in some things, take out some things, and hopefully make it less of a heavy read for you all. When that is done, we would like for you all to please read over the rules again, so weâre all on the same page.
Related to the rules, weâd like to reiterate that it is not optional to reply to starters in the mkwnopen tag. There are some of you that have been in the group for weeks and have yet to reply to one, yet have been posting starters-- this is unfair. Itâs common courtesy to reply to the starters that have been posted before posting your own, and if youâre able to post a starter, then youâre certainly able to reply to starters as well. There is nothing that makes you more deserving of replies to your starter, or other members less deserving of replies. If youâre looking for new threads, reply to whatâs in the open tag. If youâve already done that,, if you already have an ongoing thread with those characters, then by all means, post a starter. Weâre not expecting people to reply to every starter in the tag, at least a couple when youâve able to handle the replies, but just know that itâs incredibly obvious when people do not reply to open starters, and a bit insulting to the muns that have worked hard on a starter as well. We do not want to give strikes over this, but weâve said this time and time again and itâs getting tiring. Reply to open starters in the mkwnopen tag, especially before posting one of your own. This is the last time weâll be saying this, and weâll skip over warnings and go straight to strikes.
Things have gotten stagnant over the last few weeks, but thank you to everyone that has stuck around. The admins will be making some changes to liven things up around here, but weâll need cooperation in order to do that. As always, if you have any suggestions, feel free to throw them our way.
Hello! We were wondering, is the plot of this rp inspired by something or totally made up by you? We're asking this not only out of curiousity but because me and my friend are going to open a new rp, school based with a university and a high school like mokwon with cliques obviously with various differences, but we don't want to come off as a copy, that's not our intention. Hence of this we want to talk with you first in respect of the creator of this rp.
Hi! Â If you could please come off of anonymous and send us another message, we would be more than happy to discuss this with you. Â Thank you!

Oh poo! I didn't think she was that old, haha. Would you recommend any fcs for a cosplayer then?
Well, you could use any faceclaim for a cosplayer, since thatâs just their hobby. The faceclaim doesn't necessarily have to be a cosplayer, they can be an actor or model or an idol and that should work just fine. Personally, I would then choose a specific cosplayer to use as an outfit-claim of sorts, similar to how people will choose a specific user on lookbook to use to represent their characterâs fashion sense.
So really, it could be whoever you want to use-- but I think that Seo Hyerin, Lee Sunmi, Kim Ahyoung/Yura, Lee Soonkyu/Sunny, Â Hwang Eunbi/Sinb, Ryu Sujeong, or Mayu Watanabe are some female idols that could work.
You mentioned a cosplayer trope before so I was wondering if the admins would be okay with having a Linda Le fc here, better known as Vampy or Vampybitme, who's an American cosplayer of Vietnamese descent?
Unfortunately we're going to have to say no, since Linda is 33 years old and a bit too old for a high school/university setting. Hopefully you can find another faceclaim that suits you! They don't have to exactly be a cosplayer, either.
At the moment no, we do not. Weâve stated in the past that weâd rather not have characters that are on the older side (above 25) since there could also be characters as young as 14 in this rp, and that can make for some uncomfortable power dynamics and ome unsavory plots going on between them. I can talk to the other admins about it, but our answer will still most likely be no, since weâd rather focus on the actual students that are at Mokwon currently.

âBIOGRAPHY
There was a time where Mirae wasnât as popular as she was. In fact, the girl lived more of a normal life or at least that was what they wanted or preferred. In reality, people didnât consider it normal at all, no matter how much it was viewed that way with her parents. Once they had placed her in an elite all girls school starting around her elementary school days, it started to frustrate her parents in a way that they wouldnât expect their little daughter to act.
Mirae was only four years old when her mother had paid for vocal lessons and took the time out of her day to see her practice with her tutor, which had lasted for a few years until she turned around eight years old when her father forced her to stop, much to her motherâs dismay and disapproval of her fatherâs actions.
She was raised to be a smart, independent individual while wanting her to rely on a good education to get her far and this method had worked for awhile. Her mother wasnât around often, her father wanted the woman to stay away from Mirae or at least put her at a distant to where she wouldnât be suspicious. But even her father couldnât keep her curiousity from rising; it didnât take long for her to figure out what she wanted, which would ultimately lead to her finding a similar connection to her mother; she was the starlit that she would inspire herself to be, one who would compose her own music lyrics and have custom outfits designed for herself.
The school that her father sent her to, had a dress code that required her to wear a skirt just below the knee, she found it uncomfortable as sheâd prefer to wear something else. They were all about etiquette and discipline but as far as grades go, they were always up to par as Mirae was smart and intelligent, otherwise she wouldnât have entered. Although because of super strict teachers and their extreme ways of teaching, it had been strongly effective and yet it was enough to stress her out.
She didnât exactly fit in with most of the students until she secretly signs herself up for many after school activities such as art and choir; anything that would help improve her interests for art and music. Gone for most of the day and for hours, her father would always worry but whenever her mother comes into the picture, Mirae felt more at ease with her despite her disapproving father. And when she was kicked out for messing around with a female student and acting out towards her own teachers, she began to feel the wrath of her father.
Her mother had a dream to be one of the best international singers in the entertainment industry and by far, she was popular for writing her own music and have her outfits designed, one of a kind. Mirae inspired to be as big of a star as the woman was but her father wanting her to become an architect or an engineer was a big setback for her goals. When her family took a much needed vacation on an island in Saipan, this placed her in a rut as well as placed her into another big setback. No one expected a big wave would cause her to almost drown from being too far out of the ocean, causing her mother to come out and rescue her. Not only did she lose her life but had left Mirae alone with her unbearable father, who had been ridden with guilt.
Mirae turned twenty one, desperate to get out of isolation and that was when she had been recommended to attend Mokwon University, seemingly much more different than the private school that she attended a few years ago. Her high grades were enough to get herself into the University while her small history of trouble was nothing but small to them. Mirae had changed a bit since then, now known for her unique rapping skills and outfits which were custom made for her by her motherâs original designer whenever sheâd be out and put out a shining performance for the roaring crowd. She had become a star that she had set out to be, but not as big as her mother yet in which that was where her goal was headed. After the death of her mother, she vowed to finish her dream for her while pursuing her own.
Yeah, it had taken awhile for her father to approve of her moving to attend Mokwon University but he expected her to stay and not get kicked, to draw bad light on their family. Mirae had promised her father and she had to succeed in her dreams or else she wouldnât be able to live it all down. She tends to keep her deep grief and feelings at bay and not let the pressure to get the best of her. When she arrived, she had already made a big impression, hoping that rumors about her would not swirl as much as in the past.
âPERSONALITY
When it comes to academics and for the most part, songwriting, sheâs indifferent towards those around her and having the habit of never acknowledging those who are trying to get her attention. Even if it doesnât seem like it towards prying eyes, Mirae was quite dedicated and focused when it comes to work and preferred to get down to business instead of wasting her time. But when it comes to everything else, sheâs fairly easy going, laid back with nothing in mind but having fun when messing around with other students.
Sheâs more used to being around females, not too much males, although she does not hate them completely. Back then, she used to think that boys smelt bad with difficulty understanding her while the opposite gender was much easier to communicate with. That or they were at a whole different level but her thoughts about them dwindled and soon, she set those opinions aside for good. Mirae was passionate and creative, not wanting to say more than was necessary but she had her small outbursts here and there when stress gets to her. In truth, she holds a lot of guilt regarding the past.
Mirae still had a lot of maturity from high school days, capable of being polite and quite classy when it counts but during her off days, sheâs just as rebellious as she was when she was kicked out of the private school she attended. Sheâs much more edgy rather than girly as society would expect her to be this time around, her image coming to light as she slowly shows more of her true colors. She can be a little too honest with people other than herself, rather persistent and possessive but sheâs protective and extremely loyal to her close friends.

âBIOGRAPHY
he is born, and he is forgotten. taewook is left at the royal childrenâs hospital in melbourne, his birth parents disappeared who knows where. taewook still doesnât know. he doesnât particularly care. they abandoned him, and he had to grow up in an orphanage for a few years. their loss, really. taewook is nine years old, sitting on a bridge with his feet kicking back and forth and an ice cream in one hand when he meets a man. a week later, this man becomes his father.
taewook moves away with him to south korea, where he evolves in a whole new world. heâs smart, but doesnât desire to compete in the crazy competition all the other kids are into. instead he takes interest in odd things like old songs and fun clothes and asks lots of questions. his mother is beautiful, and raises him to believe in himself and follow his own dreams. despite the rocky start, life is pretty good.
being an only child to parents who couldnât biologically have one otherwise, taewook was as treasured as he was spoilt. yet eventually he catches onto the struggles his parents faceâ both financially and mentally. the boy says nothing about it, and neither does he really think about it. instead he cares for those who care for him, and if ever the kids try to make fun of his âlesserâ family taewook defends them with all his heart.
he always knew he was different. not only in interests, but in heart. his very self. at first he freaks out and thinks heâs gay, then it occurs to him that not only does he think itâs gross to kiss girlsâ having a boyâs tongue down his throat is just as off-putting. taewook keeps his asexuality to himself, not trusting this society enough to accept him as who he is. he still, deep down, wants to find love.
age makes one wiser. the more taewook experiences the more aware he becomes of just how shit his country is. he hates humans. the whole world is a pile of shit, actually. heâs sociable, and good at talking to people, so he gets by with a fake couple of smiles and talking his head off. by the time university arrives he has no idea what he wants to do, but is still certain that he isnât going to be a competitive slave for his country. taewook takes sociology, and finds out some more about the world he despises. itâs pretty fun, sometimes.
during his first year, he meets someone who is like him. not like as in totally similar, but thereâs enough understanding to want to do something about it. taewook and his friend develop mokwonâs first âgeography clubâ. of course, taewook knows jack-ass about geography. the club is actually an lgbt+ club in disguise, which soon starts to form a small yet tight knit club of âgeographersâ. a whole bunch of heart to hearts and all that gross stuff. he still hates humans, but has a soft spot for some. Â
and so life goes on. only now taewook has even less shame than before and is a whole lot more willing to say whatâs right. he runs a blog. whilst he isnât the type to shove veganism down peopleâs throats it wonât stop him from sharing videos of the industry people are supporting. preach preach preach. giving all the love to the great big world. he doesnât care. but he does. taewook just is taewook, in the end.
âPERSONALITY
taewook is a free spirit. or rather, as free a spirit as he can be. independent to a fault, and with a voice as open as his mind. he likes to live by his own rules, and not restrict himself because of the conservative world around him. but taewook has a problem wherein upon approach he can seem closed off, or uninterested. his interactions are largely effected by his mood, so whilst he is good with people he is, at times, very bad with people. this can also be effected by his strong grip on his beliefs, which he voices when he can and is quick to drop someone if they happen to offend himself or someone he treasures.
he is uncertain of what he desires of his future, but when he is passionate about something he will be very energetic and enthusiastic about it. this is why, on the chance someone shares an interest or idea with him, taewook can be a very excitable and a positively infectious person to be around. his curious nature, constantly searching for new things, makes him imaginative and (silently) hopeful in a better future. he is a great friend to those he treasures, and will often expose his less cool, more natural side around these people. he is a chill guy, and is susceptible to wild bursts of good moods.
on the chance he is betrayed taewook is quick to hold a grudge, being highly emotional and an over thinker when things go wrong. on the chance he becomes stressed (which isnât hard to do), heâll close himself away from people and drown the world out until heâs ready to face it again.
