Got an alert from the Citizen app saying "Eastbound lane blocked after crash" "Location: 400 feet away"
I pull up the map and it's literally right behind my house. I throw on my shoes and go outside. Confirm everyone is okay, then start pulling up my security camera footage. While I'm doing that, I spot who was driving one of the cars. One of my good friends happened to crash right behind my house π
(Also he had a dashcam so he now has two angles of his crash)
I'm amused by how Citizen app users in Seattle treat incident comment sections like a citywide group chat, including ragging on spelling errors and cracking jokes:
The correct spelling is Uwajimaya, and it's one of the most amazing grocery stores I've ever been inside. I don't visit too often because it's outside my rectangle, but one of my "if I get rich" fantasies is to move into one of the apartments above the store and pop downstairs to buy fresh fish and vegetables for dinner every night.
