Sorry I moved this up here so I could address it right away- It’s okay, sometimes that happens. You submitted this profile twice with two… independent takes on this character- I’m interested in why the change happened! Your character’s a liiittle messy, but I’ll try to tighten her up. …This segment actually got WAY LONGER than I meant for it too, but it’s really important!

So the first thing of note here is that her existence was Primarily inspired by the song Through The Fire And The Flames. But you don’t actually… do much with the song beyond referencing it existing and making her a musician! I think if you want to use that song for inspiration, there’s a LOT of good stuff in there to make like a REALLY neat character out of Cithar… 

So there’s a lot of discussion between listeners about what the song means, and it obviously most simply means Never Giving Up Despite The Challenge, but there are some neat ideas and Visuals that are presented Throughout the story. 

Apocalyptic war and battle, the lands burned to waste, being driven from your homeland, seeking freedom in the night, being thrown among the stars… 

So I think in particular I want to focus on building your character around the sentiment presented in these lyrics: 

“Running back through the mid morning light There’s a burning in my heart We’re banished from the time in the foreign land To a light beyond the stars In your blackest dreams see to the need, that destiny is tied And endlessly we’re roaming free tonight And on the wings of a dream so far beyond reality All alone in desperation, now the time has gone Lost inside you’ll never find, lost within my own mind Day after day this misery must go on”

…Which is to say, I think that Cithar should’ve been the ruler of a small segment of Alternia- Maybe acting kind of like a really friendly Duchess to the people there. And then, as unlikely as it is for something like this to happen- there’s Another Heiress who basically tries to make war with her and get rid of the competition. So there’s Big, Wild Battles, and her and her people are driven out of their place on Alternia and Nissam was presumed dead and so her people were in despair…

So she felt a little bit like a failure. Like, she didn’t do good enough for her people. So she fabricates this more rebellious zany wild identity that can inspire NEW HOPE and so Cithar was BORN. A badass brutal power metal queen. Who’s plan is ultimately to inspire her people, survive, and either get her home back OR go find a new home among the STARS. 

Name (preferably include how you came up with it and why): Cithar Fabulo (Cithar is latin for guitar, Fabulo is part of Star) 

Since that’s the name she chose, I think that’s Perfectly Fitting. But as for Nissam Inanis… I wish you told me why you came up with that name! 

I think instead I’ll recommend Helmin for the first name instead. It’s a reference to Queen Wilhelmina, of the Netherlands. The Netherlands is pretty well known for its metal music, which is my primary motivation, but Wilhelmina was also known for having inspired the Dutch resistance And for having abdicated her throne, which I think all works very well for Cithar. I DO like Inanis, though, since it means vain/empty/worthless, which I think all play into the stuff going on in her character.

Strife Specibus: GUITARKIND

I always make the guitar/axe joke but it’s especially relevant here because in Brutal Legends the main character uses like a big ol’ axe and Through The Fire And Flames is an important song in that ridiculous cheesy game. I think she needs just a really cool, really big axe. OR like a sick flamethrower guitar like in Mad Max. She just needs to be cool as hell.

Symbol and meaning: AQUARIST, SIGN OF THE RENEGADE (i want to make it a pisces guitar looking thing) 

She’s a fuchsia, so she has to be a Pi-something sign! I’ll talk more about this later, but I think I actually want her to be either Pio, The Pathfinder, 

or Pirius, The Storyteller. 

Trolltag: lusiiForce

Maybe dragonyyydForce? I know it’s a bit of an obvious reference there, but since dragons Exist in Alternia it’s not impossible they’d be referenced in her title… and Dragons are realistically probably associated with rebellion a little bit on Alternia, given their history. Plus Dragonyy’yds are apparently a form of fictional dragon race used in FLARP, so it hints subtly towards the fact that she’s putting on an act While attempting to be a draconic, Destructive Force.

 Quirk: only capitalizes important words, W = ^^^ and V = ^^ Example: the QUICK BRO^^^N fox jumped O^^VER the LAZY DOG, DUDE!!

We could replace this instead with her starting sentences with (:) If you decide to go with Pirius, or her replacing H’s with )’| if you decide to go with Pio. But I still like the Exclamation Points. I also like the idea of her putting Umlauts over every u, like: ü. This is, again, a Brütal Legend joke. 

Special Abilities (if any): nien

Lusus: Dog (Getting back to that later)

You didn’t get back to that later!! But that’s fine. Now, Good Ol Gl'bgolyb is obviously every tyrian’s lusus, but I don’t have any problem with heiress’ taking on like, additional pets or even lusii. So like… what if she stumbled upon a dragon. Just An Actual Dragon. Not technically her lusus but she can be like, her Pal.

Personality: Cithar was BORN a rockstar. She grew up learning everything she could about music, and was basically a prodigy. However, at the same time, she also loved ships. Like, the ocean, and pirateering. She could spread her music throught the land, and get money in the process, not to mention getting to smell the ocean air. Interests: GUITAR, PIRATEERING, OCEAN, MUSIC, ADVENTURE.

IMPORTANT: Cithar… Isnt actually a troll. You see, she is a personality. A fushcia by the name of NISSAM INANIS wanted to try music, and wanted to be in a band, unlike all the other highbloods at the time. (She was an extreme anarchist and actively refused to act like a fushcia.) She was… Pretty much a furry. But when she took on this stage persona, she felt like someone new, exiting, better than who she was. Over time, she started to become her act in a way. This fills her “Knight Of Void” Role in two ways. One, she had an act that was her entire character being not truly her, the true her being a secret. Also, she had an act without realizing it. Void can also be interpreted as not knowing something. Anyway, after she god tiers, her matesprit Birasc Frisos, sylph of time, realizes that she is not actually Cithar, and helps nissam realize the act and remove it. (The designs dont fit in with each other perfectly but im trying to figure that out)

Okay, so I love a lot about her, so much…. I think you can like… Maybe the original Helmin was Less willing to branch out and perform and explore. Someone who limited her own options and while she was willing to learn music and really wanted to share, she Didn’t. And so when things went awry she decided to adopt the image of this person she always wanted to be. So now she’s someone way more Expansive. Maybe her and her people can be at sea on a bunch of boats, gamblignanting around and stopping on shores and all that fun stuff while trying to achieve their goals. 

And so part of what Cithar is so strongly in this role is bc she doesn’t want to like, let anyone down. She wants to Keep Playing The Part. And when she ends up in the game she keeps playing the part bc it’s easier than like, Recognizing that she messed up. Recognizing that she Couldn’t protect everyone. and she just wants to KEEP MOVING FORWARD!! Through the Fire and Flames, it’s fine, it’s fine (it’s not fine). So her matesprit has gotta Help.

Title: KNIGHT Of VOID

I’ve waffled w/ this a lot but I really do think Knight of Hope is the better option for her. She’s not someone clueless, or someone interested in secrets,  or someone who is in the background. The main theme expressed by the song you’ve based her on is Perseverance and so I think Hope is the Way To Go. She’s got this imaginative spirit, she’s clinging to this belief, she’s all about Options and Continuing On and Belief. 

Land: Land of FIRE and FLAMES (that was the original idea that put this character in motion)

Design: 

Helmin/Left: 

Horns: I thought the fuchsias-have-the-same-horns rule would benefit you best here. Instead of her needing to find a way to disguise distinctive horns, her horns serve as a way to help her blend in. If all fuchsia’s have the same horns, her horns can’t give her away. 

Hair: I wanted to keep it at least recognizable as the same set of hair put into a different style, so instead of utilizing a different hair base entirely, I just edited the other hair style we had to work with! 

Face: I liked what you started with, so I kept those, but I also added a little bit of winged liner. I fixed her fins to be in line with those seen in canon. I edited her mouth- because our pink seadweller friends have sharp teeth. I basically wanted to keep that design element consistent between her two designs. She’s the same person, so her mouth shape won’t change. 

Outfit: I kept it pretty much the same as you’d sent it in, though there was some outline and color fiddling involved in making it look right. 

Cithar/Right: 

Horns: I liked the silver caps you put on the horns in your earlier submission, so I put some gold caps on hers! I think they add a funny color variation, too.

Hair: I kept that hair base you’d provided me to work with, but made it a little messier. In metal, long and wavy hair is really important, but they also tend to have a lot of wild bits everywhere (just look at the members of dragonforce!). 

Face: I snazzed up her eye makeup here, making it look very flamey. I also gave her some scale makeup underneath one of her eyes and added some gold jewelry on one fin. 

Top: Her jacket is edited from Tavros’ and is meant to look like one of those leather vest jackets with studs on the shoulders and along the front- which is something you see in metal bands a lot. Her symbol was adjusted here to look kind of like a guitar, while still using Pirius as the base. The shirt she’s wearing underneath is a black lace-up corset kind of shirt, which is something a lot of female metal musicians wear for some reason? 

Bottoms: Cool Tyrian Belt, complete with chains hanging off of it. She’s also wearing tight black studded pants and fuchsia boots, because I wanted her to just look as Metal As Possible. If you’re gonna do a theme you’ve gotta COMMIT.
