There’s an extreme lack of Cirrold content out there, so I had to write something. I already posted this on AO3. I hope you enjoy!!

As Rylie, Nim, Harold, and Cirrus made their way around town, walking around aimlessly, a crowd had suddenly erupted ahead of them. They were screaming something about sales and discounts, it was hard to hear them over all the overlapping chatter.

I want to thank my friend @lazyfrogget who puts up with my enjoyment of Cirrold. And thank you for always proofreading my stuff. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this mess! 

The two definitely don’t know how to act in the relationship. They don’t know what they’re doing. It takes a lot of gut just to hold hands and that was a milestone in enough of itself.

Cirrus blushes easily, which Harold uses to his advantage. Harold will lean a bit closer to him just to see how he reacts. He finds it amusing, Cirrus on the other hand, wants the ground to swallow him hole.

They get into meaningless arguments a lot and you can just feel the romantic tension between them. Nim usually has to step in before Cirrus thunderbolts Harold.

Cirrus always gushes about Harold to Nim. At first, she thought it was cute, but he talks about it all the time, it’s like she’s being smacked in the head by a brick. She ends up telling Harold because she was so sick of hearing it. Harold definitely teases him about it, he never let it live him down.

Cirrus’s hair gets all knotty from being literal clouds and he attempts to brush it, but it blows up in front of him. Harold takes over and brushes his hair out the correct way.

Harold likes to cook for Cirrus as a way of appreciation and love without saying it. Cirrus gets all flustered like a tsundere and quietly eats the food given to him.

The lemon kids call Cirrus “Angry Cloudman”. Let’s just say, he really doesn’t appreciate it. Harold loves it more than anything.

Out of curiosity, Harold asked Cirrus about the lifestyle in Stratoverse. He was more than disturbed to hear what it’s like living there. He tried to reason with Cirrus the wrongdoings of his country, but they ended up getting into a long argument. They don’t talk about Stratoverse anymore.

The boys kept their relationship as a secret for a long while because Cirrus wasn’t ready to announce their relationship. Everyone already knew they were in a relationship, they’re not sly. Purple probably made some inappropriate joke to Cirrus to piss him off. I like to think Wallis probably whispered to Harold, “So you’ve joined the gays.”

PDA is nonexistent, it only occurs occasionally and if it’s with a few select people. However, behind closed doors, there is a lot more of affection going on.

Both of the boys are extremely touch starved. Harold was alone on the streets for years and Cirrus… well he grew up in Stratoverse, not a very touchy-feely place.

Harold had to be very careful with affection for Cirrus, like a person approaching a stray cat. Small touches were okay, hugs and intimate moments were off the table for a while. He had to slowly introduce that to his boyfriend to even consider it as affection. Most physical touches for Cirrus were in the form of battles and attacks.

Harold is one of the few people who can calm Cirrus down when he’s having a temper tantrum. Nim occasionally shoves Cirrus to Harold so he can deal with him. He definitely grounds Cirrus when he’s being insensitive or aggressive. He either calls him out on it or gives him a 101 on how to be a better person. Does it work though? You decide!

Cirrus is a bit protective, he doesn’t have many close people in his life. He cherishes the few ones he has, including Harold. He checks on him often, seeing him while he’s off prince duty. If he goes to see Nim, he’ll visit Harold afterwards. He fusses over Harold if he injured himself by accident or burned himself in the kitchen.

The prince likes to braid hair, so why not braid Harold’s? He does all kind of styles and techniques on him. Harold gets all embarrassed and the braids don’t stay in long for him. He usually takes them out himself because he’s self conscious.
