For a fun and bright party, these circus carnival cupcakes are a must. Kids and adults will both love them because they have rainbow sprinkles and bright frosting. For an extra touch of fun, add some circus-themed toppers!
Ingredients: 1 box of white cake mix. 3 large eggs. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1 cup water. 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles. 1 batch of buttercream frosting store-bought or homemade. Red, blue, yellow, and green food coloring. Circus-themed cupcake toppers optional.
Instructions: Warm up the oven to 350F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake pan. Add the eggs, vegetable oil, water, and white cake mix to a mixing bowl. Mix until everything is smooth and well mixed. To make the cake batter, slowly fold in the rainbow sprinkles. Fill up about two-thirds of the way to the top of each cupcake liner with batter. After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. On a wire rack, let the cupcakes cool all the way down. Get the buttercream frosting ready while the cupcakes cool. Put some frosting in each of the four bowls. One bowl of frosting should be red, one should be blue, one should be yellow, and one should be green. Put a star tip on a piping bag and fill it with one of the colored frostings. To make a fun circus look, pipe a swirl of frosting on top of each cupcake, switching between colors. If you want to make each cupcake even cuter, you can add circus-themed cupcake toppers to the top. Serve your circus cupcakes and have fun with them!
