I kinda love DDBA Dex bc he's clearly off his meds and having the time of his life. He's finally free from prison and his mind is clear. After like six months he's system should be flushed so he's probably in a great BPD high. I love it for him. I love he had a little apartment and a nonna and a nice routine for a bit, and now he's off to have more fun while he waits for Matt to get himself out of prison.
Dex would have started working for the government a lot sooner so he could get $$$ to pamper his Swan Princess. Less... Lingering for plot reasons to kill Fisk and Vanessa. Reader would have accounted for Matt getting involved. This is all assuming she waited while he was in prison - she'd either have killed herself or attacked Vanessa herself. ((There's a story))
But less joking, if Reader only meeting him after Dex kills Foggy, then assuming they meet between DDBA 1 & 2, with Matt never having dated Heather. Dex goes to kill Matt but finds Reader instead. She's avoiding the task force bc Fisk is looking for her. She doesn't care if she dies. Dex is Manic, so he takes her and they fall into the same "we're hiding together and making each other worse" but far less luxurious. They hide in Dex's little apartment mostly and Reader turns it into a home for them.
I see Dex agreeing to go with Mr Charles if it grants Reader immunity and she gets a government detail to keep Matt away from her.

i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.

We need to lay more blame for "Kids don't know how computers work" at the feet of the people responsible: Google.
Google set out about a decade ago to push their (relatively unpopular) chromebooks by supplying them below-cost to schools for students, explicitly marketing them as being easy to restrict to certain activities, and in the offing, kids have now grown up in walled gardens, on glorified tablets that are designed to monetize and restrict every movement to maximize profit for one of the biggest companies in the world.
Tech literacy didn't mysteriously vanish, it was fucking murdered for profit.
Linux is a very good and powerful alternative.
