My family and I wanted to have brunch at Circa in Fayetteville, North Carolina. To continue the celebration of my aunts birthday. I was looking forward to eating there because I heard the food was good. However somethings haven't changed in Fayetteville. My Cousin put our name on the list to be seated, but we were never called to be seated until an hour and a half later. They wouldn't even serve my cousin a drink while she was waiting. When they did call us. We were already eating at another restaurant. When we asked why we weren't being seated. The host said they couldn't accommodate our party of five due to Covid laws. However they took other parties that were on the list after us. You already know the other parties didn't look like us. Seeing this happen to us right down the street from where slaves were sold at the Fayetteville Market house. Put me in a bad mood that I couldn't shake all day. If all African Americans started only eating at black owned restaurant. People would say that's unfair.
