This feels so controversial to say but I DO NOT think Enjin is a massive player the way almost every fic I come across portrays him as… I think he had the teeniest tiniest hoe phase for a few months when he was like 24 or 25 because he was young and frustrated and wasn’t really sure what to do with the freedom of a personal life in his mid 20s and that seemed appropriate to him at the time. But his body count from that period is like 5, tops. I like to think it didn’t take a super long time for him to mature further and be like, you know what, I do eventually want a lifetime partner and I don’t want to have to tell them that I give it up for just anybody, so I’m going to put a stop to it here before it gets too far. And then he held firm to being celibate as a nun for the next few years until meeting you. I do think Enjin wants to love you before he sleeps with you. Not to say he isn’t thinking about sleeping with you from… pretty early on in your relationship… but he has some restraint and doesn’t want to spoil it. He wants to come away from it feeling like it was something that connected him to you emotionally and spiritually rather than come away relieved because he wanted to get off, not only for the sake of his peace of mind but also because he can be sure that if he felt a deep bond with you on a level that wasn’t purely physical, you felt the same way and you’re not left feeling used. He can’t necessarily guarantee such a positive feeling on your end if he was in it to just relieve tension.
