Monoma has seen better nights. or to be more exact; nights that were a little safe then the atmosphere he felt around when coming out of the surface to get a view of his surrounds. Monoma was sure that he didn’t make a wrong turn, but the atmosphere around him, the smell that his his nose, was sickening to his stomach. Maybe that’s one of the few reasons why he would rather just stay around the water instead of land. Though this is part of its quirk, where even more interesting being lived up in the surface then under water.
