[#AnInchAugust × #DailyMovieSketch] District 9 (2009) Directed by Neill Blomkamp Sunday's theme for #AnInchAugust (a challenge to make art that fits in one square inch) was ‘Home Sweet Home’ and that led me to think of this movie from Neill Blomkamp. After all, the story involves an alien spaceship coming to Earth and its inhabitants getting stranded as refugees for years, on our planet. The alien Christopher Johnson has been searching for a way to get back home, gathering fuel to do so. The science fiction - action movie has some incredible visual effects and amazing action scenes. Highly recommended. It's there on Netflix. A few months back, I did sketches of Neill Blomkamp’s Oats Studios short films, he has announced that new content is on its way. Can’t wait!
