Dressed in a long sheer white gown down to my bare feet. Sheer fabric flows bell sleeves
blow in the gentle forest breeze. Rustic sheafs
and green leaves softly rustle in the wind.
Dashing through the evergreen forest rushing
to reach the cabin. Silent snowfall brings
about calmness upon my mood. In stillness
there I stood in admiration of glisten golden
flakes sprinkling onto the forest floor settling
onto the frozen lake. I gaze upon the moonrise
and witness reindeer wing chimes that
gracefully hover against the moonlight. A
flutter of wing chimes is like bells jingling
honoring angels receiving their wings over
achieving good deeds. Through the bright rays
of moonlight in utter delight, I hear the hoo hoo of a snowy owl. His golden eyes gleam
aglow such a lovely sight to behold. And so
from afar as I gaze upon the crackling fire
through the cabin window, I realize there is no
need to rush to reach the cabin when I can
simply be still to enjoy and admire the
enchanting Christmas forest. It’s like the term,
“Stop and smell the roses.”
