Magic

Stop!

Listen!

Can you hear air calling you?

Can you feel it?

Feel the magic in it?

There's magic everywhere

It’s in the water making it flow the way it does.

Ride the wind and see the world

Let the water take you to its greatest depth

Touch the earth and let it show you its secrets

There’s magic everywhere

You don’t have to be a witch, warlock or anything like that to see it

Anytime you want you can see it  

Because it was embedded it the earth by God for us

All you have to do is believe

I Dream…

Of fairies

Of elves

Of Pixies

I Dream…

Of Vampires,

Of Ogres,

Of Cyclopes and Minotaurs,

I Dream…

Of life,

Of love,

Of seeing my twenty-first birthday

I Dream…

That everyone will believe me when my dreams don’t come true right away.

That my father would believe my love so that together they can save me.

Dream witch I am and whatever I dream comes true.

Everyone has a purpose.  I am born to save my family.

Century after century I die so that they can live.

Given a choice, I would do it again and again.

Is there a way to stop this sad cycle?

Yes, all my family has to do is believe me

But since they do not I will keep dying

Forever doing what I do best

Dreaming of better days to come for myself and my love.

Dreaming of that one day when I can say “We have done it and I am free! Thank you for believing in me.

What comes from my hand I have no mood to stop from my grief is great and it pulls me

When music plays lovers will dance and when it stops their hearts will break.

Thrice times I loved him and thrice times he spawned me

Spawned me and the babe that grows within me

Spawned for a golden-haired lady with the mouth of an adder

Damn that woman and damn her tongue for spewing poisonous thorns

That pierces my heart and makes it bleed.

Witch they call me and witch I am

And all that is in me yearns to curse them all

Curse them for after all these years of coming to me for healing and advice they all let her poison fill their ears and now those that called me friend curse and throw stones at me.

But that is not my way and damning them means to damn myself and all those that flows from my line and I will not let my child suffer for my rashness.

So what comes from my hand I have no mood to stop for my grief is great and it draws me and I hear its seductive song that chants vengeance all those that wronged me

My will is strong and I will not heed

Instead of the curse it whispers I’ll spin a wish

What I began I can’t undo only alter

When music plays lovers will dance and when it stops their hearts will break

But if in silence they can look beyond the hurt, seek forgiveness and rekindle the love

They will find that the music never stopped only faded a little til all wrong becomes right again

But should one falter should one heart remain like stone then all that was shall be undone and kindred souls shall once again be made to wonder

Thrice times thrice this will happen bringing in the end a love that I have never known

A Mother’s Plea

Sweet gurgling little baby

Happy, fun-loving, gentle soul

Cruelly stolen from arms.

Tis funny how one event is all takes to one’s fate.

I have looked into your future  

And my heart bleeds for how much you will suffer.

For you have been dealt a new hand

And they have not been kind

There is nothing that I can do for you except this;

Blood to blood,

Heart to heart,

When things are real bad

And despair is beating down your door,

Heed the call your heart will make,

And remember this place.

Come to me,

Fly to me,

And I will give you comfort.

Til that time be strong and play out the game that Lady Destiny has made for you.

You see me standing there looking at the ocean

And I know without looking at you that I rate no more than a passing glance
