Stella had decided to take refuge at the Saltspray Cafe for the time being. She wasn’t too worried about any sort of interaction, seeing as she found no reason for anyone to actually follow her. She would have to deal with people occasionally entering and loitering, but how would that bother her? That wasn’t any of her business, and Stella wasn’t about to intrude on them. Stella stretched her arms over her head, yawning softly as she began to relax herself in the cafe’s atmosphere.

She began to undo her bun and remove her hairband from her head, letting her black hair messily fall over her form. Stella removed her mask from her face, reaching towards the cup of coffee that she had so kindly gotten herself. Caffeine was probably not the best chemical to mix with her nerves, but to Stella, it was everything she needed. She sipped her drink to test the heat before eagerly taking a hearty gulp of her brew.

Placing her cup back on the table, Stella began to dig out her crystal ball from her coat pocket. She placed the orb in front of her, letting her fingers graze over its surface. The entire time she had been at this god forsaken island, and her precious jewel still carried no imperfections on it. It was as smooth and clear since the day her grandmother had given it to her.

Then suddenly, a person pulled the chair near her and took a seat at the table she had claimed. Her eyebrow twitched under her bangs in annoyance. Stella waited in silence, testing the person to see if they would decide to move as she continued to play with her sphere. The ball rolled on the table as it soon caught in her other hand, and she gripped it.

Chapter 1

       Suddenly, her phone-An iPhone 3S-beeped. “Huh? I don’t have any contacts on here… Who's Kara? Why's she asking me to meet her at an abandoned building?"

       Autumn went pale. "Sh-She's a cheerleader at Hearst.. She's terrible. D-Don't go there! At least, not alone..."

      Sam smirked. "Who said I'm gong alone?"
