i know zeff is just saying this so sanji will leave and live his dream. i know sanji knows zeff doesn't mean any of this. but do you think on some level this is painful for him? he spent his childhood not living up to the expectations of his father and being less than all his siblings, i feel like some of that trauma lives on and would take a comment about being "dead weight" personally

its only been two days which is a reasonable amount of time, but if luffy actually had to stay as chore boy for a year, what would they have done? stayed moored off the baratie that whole time?? abandoned their captain??
